It's real simple for the vendor/supplier to ensure that any pieces of external trim are "Free of catch and burr".
The fact that this was missed by CGC isn't surprising. But to expect the customer to manually sand his armor and risk damaging the artwork under it is... sad.
CGC is all about minimizing their commitment to the customer. The "history" shows this to be true from the slingshot "fixes" to the LED "diffusers". Yeah... stuff happens... but it's about how you handle the customer's complaints that matter.
