Quoted from Whysnow:I am not so sure of that.
If a Stern NIB pro is 5100 to your door (some have said they are still getting old prices so possibly more like 4800).
If nicely restored originals are under 7800.
Then I dont see even reproduction standards selling well unless they are competitive. I dont think there is a premium to be had on AFM. I actually think they are much better off pricing agressively and making more sales, esp if CGC really did build a line specifically for this.
Keep in mind the other issue and thing buyers will factor in it that this is not a Stern build and could take over 2 years from deposit to delivery. Compared to a NIB Stern which is under 6 months and in many cases under 2 months.
This is the market where people will buy NIB titles unproven for 2x-3x the cost of proven used titles because they think they need new. The NIB buyers are cash rich, not penny wise.
They loaded the games up with mods for a reason.. to justify higher price points. They didn't need to preload mods to sell AFM. They aren't going to be giving those mods away in a price point to try to compare to some used AFM for 6500.
Chance of them selling under used AFM prices? Zero. They know the market is full of 'but I need NIB....' buyers
Chances of them selling at a comparable price to unproven stripped down pros? Zero. They know they have a proven title and they loaded them up with 'improvements' to justify a price.
I think they'll be slightly cheaper than the MMR at the entry point (to make the point they are cheaper) and then blow way past it with the add-ons and higher tiers.
