Kaneda's not digging Houdini's shot difficulty in his latest podcast.

Quoted from rosh:

We should have four at the show, so lines won't be like they were last year.

We are hopeful to have some of new version of magic glass on a couple of the games at TPF. Have not gotten confirmation. I believe they will then become available shortly after that.

Joe does not spend 20 minutes playing the machine, Joe (or Jim or Barry) spend way, way more than 20 minutes going over the machines, adjusting and tweaking the flat rails and ball guides to be sure the ball flows correctly to the flippers, adjusting the coil strength, reviewing wiring, checking switches and overall inspection. Then they will typically run though a few of the modes to confirm other things are right. It is a far more thorough check then just playing the machine. Not saying they will never miss something but as you have seen, there have been pretty few issues on the games that have shipped.

This is real QC! Can’t wait to get one!

Just played this at my Buddy's house and I thought it was off the hook awesome. On the radar for sure. I am really interested to see what the next game will be.

Bought one at pinfest John. Still in the box though. Awesome game!

Rosh, I compliment you and American on still being present in this thread even during vacation! Hope you are enjoying it! Well deserved! Can't wait for new code.

Does any retailer stock cliffy protectors other than Cliffy himself? I emailed him and he is way backed up. I would like to get a set sooner if possible.

Thanks!

18.8.5 is now available on the code update page.

Thanks! This is customer support at its finest and one of the reasons I bought Houdini!

I think at this point it’s best to put in a ticket and wait for help from Barry.

Quoted from mbwalker:

I'd likely install before anywear starts. I looked on Cliffy's site but didn't see anything specific for Houdini. Is this something I should get thru AP or directly via Cliffy's when available?

Send him an email, he makes them. He is very backed up though. Long wait.

Quoted from pinballinreno:

The cliffy's have not affected game play at all.
But they do look cool!
Right flipper collapsed several times during seance mb tonight.
Wall power at 120v today. Its awesome having that much power, my games were really lively!
Sadly it won't last lol.

When did you order the Cliffy? I was told weeks for delivery.

Rather than spend my life going back through all the pages, is there a rules post somewhere? Meaning, what you do to accomplish? I thought there was one.

Thanks!

Gotta say I’m disappointed in the art blade quality as well. For $100, I expected it to be great but they are thin. The mod guys (pingraffix) have a nice product.

Still love the game though.

Quoted from hawkmoon:

What is that??? White side rails with Chrome side blades???odd combo I must say, that black lettering doesn't quite fit this theme on the side rails>To each his own!!

They are just protectors. See link above to the product.

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

If you guys havn't seen the front page.
To big pieces of news this week.
First Josh mentions reveal of game #2 at expo.
Now today, Joe Balcer reveals game #2 is ....
Drum roll.....Oktoberfest..!
Im a little speechless on this one.

People said the same about Dialed In and look how successful that game is. Let’s wait until we actually see a game before passing judgement.

Quick question...maybe I missed this in the past 117 pages, is a full manual coming out for Houdini? Will original owners get one?

Apologize if this has been addressed already.

Quoted from mcbPalisade:

OK you guys win. I'll buy the racy version of OF when it comes out if they don't inflate the girl's bust measurements ( - :
In the day we had specific "defects per 1,000 hour" metrics we had to meet before we could move forward. It didn't take us 25 years to come out with products, but it took real time that made management upset because we were supposed to obsolete our own products to stay competitive. All this code went into ROM so turning it was a nightmare. Those days are long gone.
It is encouraging to see the patience that some of you converts have on this one. EM's require tons of patience too, so must be a pinball thing.
I'll go back to yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN" now and wait for Heidi to show what she's got.

Clearly you are still bitter they didn’t buy your product. Get over it!!!

Quoted from MMP:

How long are you all waiting on the Cliffy set? I'm at 6 weeks, getting a bit antsy.

Took me about that. He’s a one man show and very busy after the shows.

Just pushed up another update. Any issues reported to me (with logs) over the last few days have been corrected in this or the previous update.

I am an average player and I don’t think it’s that tough. It’s a fun game that is rewarding. The lock shot is no harder than some other pins. If there were two thing I would change, I wish the game played quicker meaning the start/stop with modes and some better animations. However, for the price, it wouldn’t stop be from buying again. It’s a ton of game with excellent code and excellent build quality. For their first game, AP produced a great product.
