The Simpson Pool Party?

Not sure I've played that one.

Hi,
Do we know when it is supposed to be released? How many and How much? Is there preorder? Can it be for sale overseas?
I can't wait for first impressions.
Thanks

Stay tuned.

Hey Rosh....I know its waaaaay early, but is there a second game on the radar for you guys?

I am betting it is Alice in Wonderland.

Quoted from rosh:

That is when I decided that a hanging Houdini would be a great topper.

Any chance you can have him swinging as you nudge the game? Top it off with it acting like a tilt bob and if he hits the side, he lights up.

TM - Patent pending topper

rosh Any chance you and Joe can bring a game to the Houston Arcade Expo Oct 20-21st? http://www.arcadecenter.com

Quoted from rosh:

I know Joe has mentioned he would like to get to that show. We are starting to look at the fall schedule, only thing for certain right now is Expo. As we get test machines out to distributors that will make it easier to have Houdini at more shows. Probably more likely Joe can get to some shows in the fall than I can, they barely let me leave the office to go home at night (and that is only because they know I will still be coding when I get home), leaving the State, not sure they will let me do that for awhile 67.23%

Any more word if a Houdini and if Joe can make to down for the Houston Expo?

The playfield looks more open and cleaner with the wireforms over having the clear plastic ramps all over the place.

#985 6 years ago

rosh, It seems that having some Houdini posters on the side art would be a nice touch.

#1008 6 years ago

ROSH, sure wish the game would make it to the Houston Arcade Expo next weekend.

I'll adjust the flipper strength up

I was just wondering if you can make the default flipper strength to what you have been setting it at on location? haha...sorry Joe.

Played Houdini at the local distributor in Houston on Friday at Joystix Classic Games & Pinballs during their Pac Man Fever Friday. This is the first chance I had to play it and I really enjoyed it. The game had someone at it all night long. It is a really good looking game too. 27545073_10155399601523207_898800134760846845_n (resized).jpg27545073_10155399601523207_898800134760846845_n (resized).jpg

I noticed no difference in height either.

#2019 6 years ago

I did not take the picture. It came from Joystix Facebook page. You are basing your preceived notion on an angled picture. I am basing it on my experience playing it in person. I am 6' tall and I noticed no difference in height playing it and looking at it standing next to other games.

Any ETA on the shaker motor (/knocker kit), magic glass, and art blades yet?

Seems your distributor should know.

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

Thanks Paul. Ill have to you tube that later.
Arcade Expo Houdini non stop playing since we opened yesterday. I cant even get a game in on my own machine. Always a line!

Who is Paul? I am Brian. You're welcome.

Quoted from rosh:

Yeah, probably the worse presentation I have ever given. Between being exhausted and distracted by knowing the Michigan basketball game was starting, I was clearly off my game. I apologize to those who sat through it.

Actually, I thought you had a really good presentation, as did the rest of the crew. I was at home watching it on the twitch feed. I was surprised no one asked if game #2 will be announced before the end of the year. I am excited to hear about it. For now, go Team Houdini !! It is getting a lot of buzz here in Houston.

Quoted from rosh:

Some new code is now available to enhance your weekend.
Did identify a cause of the 'unexpected multiball' issue that a few people were still getting. Hopefully this kills off this issue for the folks still running into it, time will tell.
As always, if you run into issues let me know,
Josh
https://www.american-pinball.com/support/updates/
18.5.4
New — pops will now pause timers, except the milkcan multiplier. It will also not pause if the current stage mode is handcuff escape or needle trick or if a multiball is active
Modified — the timing of the check on balls being released from subway that confirms release. On some machines the time this was taking longer than expected and could result in a second ball being put into play.
Modified — animations and lightshow behavior for curtain opening/closing for stage modes
Modified — timing of stage action on water torture on successful completion
Fixed — race condition at end of elephant if ball snuck into the stage after timer ran out and the ball would not be put back into play right away.
Fixed — issue where if you had ramps, but nonconsecutive and no loops the ramp bonus at end of ball would show a consecutive ramp number of 0 and not award the points. Also depending on sequencing ramp max count could be impacted by loop max count.
Fixed — stage curtain not opening right away when earned -- if another stage mode had recently ended and a movie was also ready to start.
Fixed — if you earned 5X bonus on skill shot, and if you had hold bonus multiplier on previous ball and the new multiplier value exceeded the threshold for an extra ball it was not awarding it.

Can you post code updates on the American Pinball Facebook page so I can share to 3 of my main groups I am in? There are a few in those groups who own Houdini games. Thank you.
