Quoted from Rdoyle1978:

Lol! I forgot about that. I don't think JJP does much on here either, but I'm not sure. Heighway and Dutch Pinball used to... but uh.. yeah not sure what happened there. Gulp.

All manufacturers still plant stuff here. Just not officially.

Pounding in T-Nuts?

#935 6 years ago
Quoted from rosh:

DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING! DING!
The box of sand, sealed with a rubber top is used for hammering in T-nuts. While it helps protect the playfield, what is more important, is that it dampens the sound. Anyone who has hammered in T-Nuts knows it can be pretty loud and since on the line it is being done all day long, well, you can understand why reducing the sound is a good thing for everybody.

What was the prize again for the correct answer? A game? A playfield? A translite? A hat or t-shirt? A flyer? My name on the factory high score credits? (I was promised that on Jon Norris's next game at Premier before he left. Damnit!)

Quoted from rosh:

Obviously that is one of the first things that gets cut from a BOM given the very limited use of it vs the cost of it. But I know some folks really like them.

"Limited use"?! I guess this game really is tough! I don't remember the exact percentage, but in the old days games were designed to give a replay once every ? games. I'm sure it was about every 6 or 7 games.
You gotta give a little reward now and then or they walk away.

Quoted from PinMonk:

In the days of $7000-$10000 pins, match games are a little more rare.

I was mostly talking about game play replays. Not the match.

Hearing that word always reminds me of one of my favorite Family Guy quotes:

Quoted from Tilt:

The Houdini at padavans in St Louis has the test version installed. Will update again once the official version it's released.

Is Houdini still at Padavan's? Heading out there tomorrow night.

Quoted from BarryJ:

Too funny! Game 2 will be "Kick Ass"! You can quote me on that.

So you have to pay extra for a knocker on a pinball machine. David, Steve, Harry and many others are not happy. Not happy at all.
