Quoted from SunKing:

SO MANY new games to play at TPF this year!

Houdini, Alien, Dialed In, Jetson's, Aerosmith, Batman66, Mulitmorphic (P3) will be revealing 4 games, Spooky will reveal a new game....AFMr...

Man... I wish I could make it. My 34 year anniversary is Saturday 3/25. If I went, it would be my last one

Any update as to whether or not Houdini will be at CAX (California Extreme in San Jose, Calif) in 2 weeks?

I can say, I'm really excited about this game. I played it many times at Pin-a-go-go (California).

I would (and will) buy this NIB, before another Stern NIB. Just sayin.

I was in Las Vegas last week. I went into New York New York and they had a Houdini store there.

They had some really cool posters, and a half a dozen of authentic items locked in a glass display he used / wore (hand cuffs / large steel ball w/ shackle for leg / one old shoe and ankle lock that looked mid-eveil).

#742 6 years ago

Eric... agreed prices are insane!

There were a couple items in the case at $5k to $6,500. They did have a certificate of authenticity. But I would still be leery.

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

I was told at pin a go go in may about the ramp on left going from plastic to metal and thought that was a great idea to improve visibility on that side. Also, in long run metal stronger than plastic. That's a great change and improvement.

Me too at PAGG... in addition; the chrome chains (IMO: way too shiny & modern looking) would be toned down to a period correct darker bronze / slightly rusty look. I think that would be awesome! If not... mine will be modded that way.

Thanks Rosh & Team for your efforts!

I played this game at PAGG in May 2017. I really like, no loved it!

I'm so glad they toned down the shiny chains. They were out of place IMHO. If I could offer / suggest something else... I think the chrome habbitrails would look amazing, in a slightly darker metal look, like you would see on an old chain or one of his pad locks.

If that doesn't make the cut... I could easily see many of us making that mod.

I also enjoy your open communication, and sure a unique game / design.

Thanks
Kerry

BTW: "If" that was/is an option to have them done... I would be willing to pay an up charge. I think many others could be interested as well.

Thoughts?

Rosh... I'll say it again; I/we really appreciate you listing and responding with an open mind.

I'm very impressed with your Houdini. I'm a Buyer for sure.

Thanks again!

Quoted from Manic:

why not simply include them in the bag and not stick them down?

Otherwise the first thing people will have to do is to heat or freeze them off... or simply peel them off and who wants to risk doing that on a newly cured PF?

I completely agree with this thinking.

#1164 6 years ago

How many of us had pulled mylar, only to have it on occasionally pull artwork, no matter what method was used?

I would much prefer the option to apply the peel & stick kicker mylar, than freeze or heat them to carefully remove em'. 2 in the goody bag would be awesome!

#1168 6 years ago

I'm in favor of mylar around the pops and ball drops... not in front of the kickers.

Rosh... great video, Thanks!

Are the pop bumper "chain sounds" actually coming from the pops, or are they coming from the speakers when they are hit?

I don't like mirror blades at all. These blades look very nice on this game.

Eric... That looks SWEET!

I certainly hope Houdini playfields aren't switched to another vendor. The ones I've seen are beautiful, solid and amazing! I'm also saying this bcuz; I'm a future buyer of Houdini. Seems like a fair amount of time down the road and wouldn't want to get a different manufacture company's PF.

I'm very concerned with quality of others PF companies. Especially with issues noted with ghosting, planking and now a lot of noise about ribbing. Those PF's look BAD!

Quoted from Ericpinballfan:

and adding a few accents of flair.
Added some metal copper gears to lane returns and lower slings. I think it looks factory.

Eric... I agree that looks really tasteful! Not too much, subtle and sharp! Nicely done!

MightyGrave... BTW: My opinion between the 2; I personally like the bronze one. I think it's more fitting for the game.

AP... will these new power supplies be in the future games?

I've been on the fence with this purchase, primarily because of the power issues discussed.

Thanks

Or a pair of knockers? (.)(.)

Quoted from Yelobird:

but I was talking about the literal up and down meaning you hold the flipper (finger tips on rubber) and lift up towards the sky and down to the playfield. It should have a very slight amount of up and down play.

I agree with the above and in other words... can you slip a business card under the flipper? You don't want it so close to the playfield that it may be touching it.

The 100 I just bought are really nice.
Or these:

What adhesive did you use?

The Amazon link he provided, indicated there was self adhesive backing on the felt.
