Just checked the mail and my 6 year old daughter got a new catalog from American Girl. Now you can buy a pinball machine for your dolls.

Edit: check out this YouTube video- it really works- lights, sound and scoring.

They should definitely do a full size coin op version.

It's all about modern, relevant themes now and that is one I can certainly relate to.

    #3 4 years ago

If Stern wants to stay relevant as a “lifestyle brand” they need to get with the times!! They could have a real machine at all of the American Girl stores.

    Playfield coating okay ?!

For $150, it better have diamond plate playfield

Does it come with a rule sheet? Maybe explaining wether or not slide saving is consider cheating.

    #7 4 years ago

Funny thing is when I was 6 years old we got in trouble for drawing peace signs on our school artwork.

What is old is now new again.

$150 is cheap for American Girl stuff oddly enough. This stuff is crazy expensive and the kids (and parents) eat this stuff up. Good quality stuff though.

    #9 4 years ago

That looks like they are trying to get kids to do psychedelics lol.

    #10 4 years ago

This is way cooler than that neon little pony crap they were selling when my daughter was six.

This is obviously a tribute to late 60s hippy style.

The character Julie is based on the early 1970s.
All of the American Girls are from a different time period in American history

Was she on The Dating Game?

Got an entire tote full of my daughters American Girl Dolls in the attic sadly enough.

Well trot it down and sell it off. Ought to be worth about one 80s game.

I’ve seen some old original ones sell for hundreds of dollars- sell them and buy a new pin

Trade you for a box of vintage Littlest Pet Shop toys and some Webkinz.

    #18 4 years ago

Yeah I already have a second tote full of the second generation my little pony. I guess I would call them MLP2000.

Better built than Stern or JJP. My daughter has a room devoted to all of that American Girl stuff.

Yeah maybe American girl does not want to be cheapened through association.

Guess what? Eventually it will be in the attic and you will get your room back.

Kinda nutty. My wife had me build shelves and display cases for these things a couple of years ago.

When I walk in there late at night I can’t help but think of Talking Tina from The Twilight Zone.

I can’t wait until they make that one way trip to the attic.

I have the entire first run of Spongebob toys. Nobody's getting those.

I'm starting to think they already did a full size version.

My daughter has some American Girl stuff. I’ll probably get this for her for Christmas. It will go nice next to the shaved ice stand and Resturant in her room. Thanks for posting!

Our daughter got this catalog today as well. She said since I have pinball machines I should buy her one for her doll. I said i would only if it actually played pinball. Well the video posted above sealed the deal. Looks like I'm buying one this month. Not too bad of a deal for it actually working and saving the high score.
I will post an unboxing video for all to enjoy. Forget Elvira, the American Doll machine is where it's at.

    #29 4 years ago

Guess I’ll have to get one based on my arcade name.

Bowen needs to help this girl out. Monkey flipping and all.

    #33 4 years ago

I think this is the worlds smallest electronic pinball machine?!?

    #34 4 years ago

    Flappers!!!!!!!

    #35 4 years ago

Can I add this to my Pinside wishlist?

    #36 4 years ago

My daughter loves the Our Generation & American Girl dolls but she would just care about the dolls. No way she is going to care about this mini pinball machine at all.

    Quoted from cait001:

You can always say you bought it for her. While you play it secretively late nights. I know there is some hidden passion to have this on your game list.

    #38 4 years ago

I predict this will be the hit of pinball expo 2019! Maybe ZMeny and Hollywoodbone will have an SDTM unboxing video. Maybe it will be on the FlipNOut stream with Ken and Bill.

    Quoted from northvibe:

    Better playability than Magic Girl.

    #40 4 years ago

Is it period accurate? Were there any solid state pinball machines in 1974?

    #41 4 years ago

Lets all step in and buy one, then someone retheme it to batman 66, and send it to the guy from the , i ordered the 89 dollar bm66 topic !!!

    #42 4 years ago

    It's a lifestyle brand.

    #43 4 years ago
    Quoted from Krh13:

Forget Elvira, the American Doll machine is where it's at.

Now that we know they actually work, who's starting a "mini-pin" arcade????????

    #44 4 years ago

This is now the creepiest thread that has ever happened on pinside.

    #45 4 years ago

Lots of pinsiders have daughters and granddaughters who would love this as a birthday or Christmas present. Maybe stern could have some mini versions of its current pins and partnerships with companies like American Girl.

    #46 4 years ago

I want one of these too. Really pretty cool IMO

    #47 4 years ago

    My daughter will want this.

If anyone has a low play huo(no playfield issues) for sale-hit me up

    There will be dimpeling!

    #49 4 years ago

I wonder when they will release the 2.0 code?

    #50 4 years ago

Better gameplay video with sounds! It looks like a rotating mech in the middle. Sounds like Mata Hari opening chimes.
