I hate TOTAN because I don’t understand why most of the workers are newbies. Why didn’t Lawlor or Ritchie design it? Why did they leave sound in charge of Dave Zabriskie and not Dan Forden or Chris Granner? WTF Williams?? Why in the name of God did these f*gs kick out all the veterans??

Pretty game with a great sound and light show (almost blinding at times) OCD board needed? The spikes and sling sword sound was a great touch.I don't miss Totan but kinda wished I had've grabbed the TOM instead when I had the choice of the two at the time.

What's your bitch about the sound on ToTAN? Does it fit the theme and game TOO perfectly and that frightens you?
TOTAN is one of Williams best games! The fact that you can beat it occasionally is a good thing. Its really got the total package except for that ugly ass transite. Nice that there are option for it.

It doesn’t sound like a DCS. The sound quality, for whatever reason sounds inferior to the other DCS games. Dave didn’t pull out enough power from the sound system, so it sounds compressed.
Yeah, the callouts with their subtle reverb and the music sound amazing for DCS. Put a sub with this game and it sounds phenominal.

OK guys.. Some news to break.
I know a lot of people are bullshitting me for my opinion, but the thing is, it’s just an opinion. You are free to think however you want, so just respect my opinion, and I’ll respect yours. It’s OK if you hate IJPA, I get it. I’m not doing this so I piss people off, I’m just trying to give an honest opinion.
I think your choosing the the word "hate" is a big part of the push back here. Almost all pinball machines are fun and the word hate should be reserved for the truly deserving few. Maybe TOTAN fits that category for you. To me I do not like TOTAN at all and would never buy one. It is a B or even C-title as far as WPC games go IMO. But in the real world I don't hate it. If I rented a cabin in the mountains and it came with a TOTAN on free play, I certainly would play it a couple of games a day and have fun FWIW. There are a select few games that I would not play in this situation and those are the ones that I suppose you could say I actually hate.

Thanks. But if the game was in the mountain cabin I would probably throw it off with my bare hands. Your attitude towards TOTAN is like mine towards Elvis. Not great, but if you have nothing better to do, it could be OK.

I don’t think I explained myself well enough. I didn’t reveal enough info, which made me look rude. Of course I have more reasons! The thing is that I may look like a noob in the eyes of other Pinsiders, but I am just new to Pinside, yet familiar to pinball.
