I know someone who paid $1,500 for a low play HUO CV. Some home owner bought it, never played it and didn't know what it was worth.

But you lost credibility with me when you said you bought a MM for $2K back in the '90s. The machine was produced in 1997 and B/W got out of the pinball business in 1999 (after making MB and CC and RFM and SW:E1). I started collecting pins in 1995 and I well remember those times. MM started going up in value shortly after it was produced. Unless it fell out of a truck and was smashed on the ground, MM never got as low as you claim.
