I'm going to bring up the Shadow translite again to explain what the problem is with it.

The problem with the original Shadow translite is that Alec Baldwin is *painted* while the other pictures on the translite (Khan and the woman) are photo-realistic. It wouldn't look nearly as bad if the other characters were painted or if Alec was photo-realistic. The juxtaposition is uncanny. Tolerable, but uncanny.

Personally, I like the alternate Shadow translites, because they don't make that painted/photo mistake, and they remove Alec's mug. Alec's mug isn't used *anywhere* in the game. Not on the playfield, not on the side art, not in the DMD animations that I've seen. A pic of Shadow doing a matrix-style firing jump? Much better IMHO.
