Looking into alternates for the heavily used TDA2002V audio amps. These were discontinued a few years back and I have completely run out of stock that I bought during the last time buy. I do *NOT* consider Chinese knockoffs, remarks and counterfeits to be a viable alternate.

Based on what I have seen - the still made LM1875T is a better than original drop in replacement but I have not been able to try this or research it. Has anybody tried replacing a TDA2002 or TDA2003 with an LM1875T?

There are at least two Asian manufacturers with legit looking datasheets. UTC is a Taiwan based company if you have something against the Chinese. They seem fine. You can get them from LCSC.

HLN is another other Asian company making TDA2003... I am pretty sure they are from Shenzhen. I have seen HLN 74HC dip 20 parts and they where fine.

There is also shit tons of STM labeled bootleg TDA2003 parts out there. Some people say those are lacking short circuit protection but otherwise OK.

I don't have any LM1875T on hand but if someone sends me a couple I am willing to test in wms, bally, and stern sound boards i build.

    *edit*... E-Youda ??? too

I was about to order some LM1875T to play with and decided to look at the datasheet first and I think i noticed a problem with LM1875T
    Supply Voltage = 16v to 60v

    TDA2003
    Supply Voltage = 8v to 18v

In pinball world 12v is typically the supply voltage... Not sure if it will work (well) at 12v.
