I was not able to make it to Allentown this year but I saw a picture of a VALLEY SPECTRA IV posted by Marco on Facebook. Anyone know if it sold or who the seller was? I am interested in it if its still available. Any info appreciated.

If that was working and it sold for 550 OBO, the seller is nuts. I've played a working one before... would pay that in a heartbeat.

I dont think it was working. When I walked by, it was off. Did anyone see this up and running at the show?

Quoted from 6S3NC3:

I'd be really surprised...to the best of my knowledge, there's only a handful of these out there that ARE working at all, and only a very few that are 100%. Even the one I played wasn't 100%. =|

You see these all the time stacked up in op's warehouses, always very out of order.

I bought one "new in the box" about 10 years ago from some operators warehouse;
and even though it was made in 1978, it was basically brand new,
but there was board damage from leaking batteries.
The boards on these games are stacked (sandwiched) one on top of another
so the Rechargable batteries over time eventually will get to leaking
and corrosion starts tearing up the traces etc.
The game was my kitchen table for years, until i moved it into storage.
never did get it working.
cool looking but probably not much to play
Table rotates from player to player, by hand,
kinda like Midway's Rotation VIII,
only that pin was motorized to revolve,
but also often broke down.
