    Quoted from Playdium:

Got in line at 10:15, and had 4 people in front of me. I don't mind getting in line early for something I enjoy. I got to meet Ivan and thank him for his efforts. Enjoyable time but wish there were more machines. There were some fine examples of vintage games as well as the recent releases.

So standing in line for an hour and a half for a pinball show is fine for you? You must be one of those people who stand outside Best Buy in the rain on Black Friday for that discounted TV.

New games should have been set up hard. No extra balls. Tight tilt. Limited, if any, ball save. Would have kept the line moving quicker.

IMO the only real issue with Allentown this year was the line. There’s no logical reason a pinball show should have a line for over an hour and a half into the show. Venue’s not changing. The farmer’s market is too integral. Maybe presell tickets and have a separate booth for redeeming them for wrist bands prior to and during the show. That’s something that would have to be worked out with the fairgrounds management. Unfortunately, it sometimes seems like they’re living in 1965 so they might be stubborn to change.

Nonetheless, all bitching aside, Friday attendance this year was much more than expected and the organizers should work with the fairgrounds to accommodate it better for next year.

I think the main thing to think about is everyone knows Friday
is the day to go. Take off work. Pull your kids out of school.
Whatever. That’s when people are coming now. The “secret” early
Friday show up is gone. Ivan just has to figure out how to manage
Venue’s not changing. Farmer’s Market is too important. My advice. Open earlier? Pre sell wrist bands? Something like
that. Allentown has become the biggest in the NE. Now he (and everyone involved) just have to manage it.

    Quoted from fatality83:

This was my first time going, I went with my brother and had a
blast. Too be honest I didn't get to play nearly as much pinball as
I wanted which was mainly my fault because the first couple hours I
was there I was buying a game, and buying a bunch of other stuff. I
have gone to the York show for a few years and it was much more
crowded then the york show. There was a couple games I passed up
playing because there was too long a line. But I am not complaining
I am personally glad it is this way. Pinball is very much alive and
hopefully will stay that way for years to come. What would you
prefer, waiting in line to play a game, or not being able to play
the game because pinball is dead and there is no more shows like
this anymore? I know what I would choose. I will definitely be back
next year! My only regret is that I didn't learn of the pretzel
cheese steak until a day or two after the show. We walked around
the farmers market, possibly to quickly because I wanted to get
back to the action. I am a picky eater and that day was my cheat
day from my diet so I was ready to eat a much of stuff that wasn't
good for me. Unfortunately all I saw that looked good was the pizza
place just inside the door. I wasn't too happy with the pizza.
Wished I could of found the pretzel cheesteak place

I’ve had the cheesesteak, buffalo chicken and the chicken bacon ranch. The chicken bacon ranch was my fave of the three. The cheesesteak is good but their sauce is a little weird.

Mary Ann’s Donuts are the bomb. Try the maple bacon! I never thought I’d like that kind of flavor until I tried it.
