I remember Pin-a-go-go a few years ago (maybe 4 or 5) there was a large line to get in when doors opened. It was not that terrible a line though I do remember it was quite long.
Seems like an easy fix of adding more people selling tickets at door opening.

Pin-a-Go-Go and now Golden State Pinball Festival are different animals though. As non-profit shows we only have so many volunteers to go around.
That said we have a 3 day pass table set up outside. You buy your pass, get your wristband and into a line that goes straight in when the doors open. The big line is for non pass holders and credit card users. We always have an atm onsite to get around that too.
