I wanted to let everyone know that we are going to be changing things up a bit for the IFPA tournaments at Allentown this year. We had a number of complaints last year from players about the unpredictability of the machines on the floor for competitive play (this was also raised at York). To resolve this, and also to better accommodate the new IFPA rules for scoring, we will be shifting formats and using a dedicated bank.

If you will be bringing a machine that you think would work well in competition, or if you would like to help us run the tournaments, please reach out to me via PM. Machines in the tournament bank can still be for sale and will obviously be getting a lot of attention. We would just ask that if they are sold they remain in the bank until after the tournaments end on Sat.

    Quoted from shacklersrevenge:

Does bringing a machine for the tournament still mean free entry to the show?

Yes, bringing a machine for the tournament bank still means you get free entry to the show.

It ALSO gets you 4 free entries in the tournament, per machine, so it is a pretty good deal

The tournament machines need to be reliable and appropriate titles for tournament play. Contact me for details if you are interested. We are also looking for tournament volunteers for setup, score keeping, etc. Volunteers are compensated for their time though free entries in the event.
