Went to get a bottle of Midleton today until I saw the price. $300, yikes! I picked up a Black Barrel Jameson instead.

Alright, here’s the deal.
I got this bottle with a group of great folks when we graduated from a tough, very elite program. Each of us got a bottle. There’s really nothing special about a bottle of Jack, but the sentimental value was important.
Fast forward from 2006 to today. The ‘special occasion’ I’m waiting on is a similar graduation from my kids. If they go through something like what I did, we’ll crack the bottle.
Until then, I enjoy having on my bar and partaking my other, less special bottles. Cheers!
