I don't think so.... Selling liquor online without a permit is probably gonna' get someone in a pickle with the ATF.

I have been without Elmer T Lee for a couple years... I would risk it.

    Quoted from Deaconblooze:

I like my scotch like I like my pinball machines - cheap, and under glass.[quoted image]

    I have to second this.

Its a Jamesons clone and very well done.

For the money , you absolutely cant beat it.

Great on the Rocks or straight up (the way Pinballgoddess likes it).

    Hint:

(Get yerself' a girl who drinks whiskey "neat" and plays pinball, She'll be a keeper for life).

    As Brantley Gilbert sings,
    Tonight is bottoms up
    Throw it on down
Rock this quiet little country town.
    Tonight is bottoms up.

Well...i thought that...and how impressive it was that he either:
    A) remembered the recipe after all those years

    Or

    B) looked up the recipe while likely drinking on a Saturday night

    Either way...kudos, sir

There was no recipe for Party Juice. It's whatever the heck you wanted to add to the Everclear to make it gulpable.

Jim beam SB is solid. I like evan williams SB as well.

Im not sure what the budget is exactly, but my cheapest whiskies that get regularly restocked in my bar are old gran-dad and old overholt rye. If the names didnt give it away, both have been around for a VERY long time and have interesting stories as well. Go check them out on google. Seriously. You wont be disappointed.

How is that one and the color, wanted to try of course

But we did our shoot today and we actually shot several episodes and we did have Old Overholt Bottle and Bond as well as old grand dad bottle and bond. I have to say old overholt was my favorite. Even over the old tub. Interesting fact doc Holliday was supposedly a big fan of old overholt. Of course this was the standard rye whiskey not bottle in mind because that didn’t come around to the ball and bond act of 18 something a rather. I do think it’s safe to say that a budget whiskey can definitely find its place among some of the more pricey Whiskeys available

Ah whisky and pinball my 2 favourite things! I'm really into scotch and Japanese whisky at the mo and I've built up a nice little collection. My man cave is basically both a whisky bar and a pinball haven.

I purchased it for a gift and only had one shot that I sipped before I started on my Apple Pie. I did like it, a slight sweet taste and a hint of burned sugar and not a lot of deep wooden notes in it. My wife doesn't drink whiskey and had a shot too. She said it was smooth. Plus after I did my shot I said that I'll be getting myself a bottle on my next visit to ABC store.

    #122 3 years ago

Thinking I'm gonna try this one tonight. It's been sitting on the shelf for a while....any one have this before?

Definitely my favorite underrated bourbon for only $18 for a 1.75 handle also. I always make sure to have 2 or 3 bottles in stock of this stuff. Only a 3 year old bourbon but great to just pour a glass neat and enjoy this little known gem.

If that is a plastic bottle, I am going to have to politely ask you to step away from the bourbon aisle until you are feeling better.

Dry January is over so I finally got to pop this bad boy open. First impressions are very positive, it's the best rye I've ever had.
It's smooth and flavourful despite the higher proof, with a bit of typical rye spiciness. The flavors are filled with cinnamon, brown sugar and baked goods, it's like a bakery in a bottle. Due to the finishing process in a few different casks it's an explosion of flavors really, love it. Very expensive though, happy I got this to reward myself despite that. Two thumbs up from me.

Not every bottle has to be expensive name brand Scott. This one is actually quite tasty.

I have made it known numerous times that one of the staples in my bar is Old Grandad. It isn't expensive, but i always keep it on hand. I think it is TERRIFIC at the price point.

But the real question is: Do you like it better than the original makers mark?

It's been a year or so since I had the original so it's hard to recall....but I want to say "yes" but if so I still recall the original being good.

In the defense of MM (not the pinball) I don't think I've ever had either without a beer first.

Also today the stash grew by one bottle as seen on the left. Some are off topic to this thread but hopefully worthy of being included.

For a late night Saturday or early Sunday are any of those bottles open?

For Jack Daniels you really need to try the barrel select barrel proof. Depending on the barrel it comes from it is between 127 to 140 proof.

46 is OK, but if you want to try something that is a huge improvement over regular Makers go with the Cask Strength. It is 40 bucks around me, always available, and excellent.

I have been wondering about Heavens Door as well. Generally I don’t like Tennessee whiskeys as much (Personal preference)... seems to take the unique edges away but it could be just bad memories of Jack and a coke in college!

Get a glass and some rocks and I'm set.
