My plan was always to get a bottle of that once I get going again.
Unfortunately it has doubled in price since then. So even if I get rolling again. That ain't happening.

I wish I could tell you otherwise, but it is simply amazing. I suppose you could try some high-end local spot and order a snifter to save a few bucks.
Quoted from Daditude:I suppose you could try some high-end local spot and order a snifter to save a few bucks.
At Mortons 2019 during Expo, I was invited to dinner.
I scan the menu for something cheap and when they took the drink order I asked for water. I felt bad enough going because B wouldn't let me pay and I couldn't afford to treat like that.
So B is on me and tells me to order what I want. I asked the man if they had Louis the 13th and he said it was under lock and key, but they did. I told him I better not.
Of course B still tells me I should have ordered it.

Disclaimer : This was shortly after B kicked me down the stairs, but that's another story.

I have two Whiskeys of his but haven't got to them yet.

And in Georgia you can’t bu6 a bottle at any price!
Actually… Kentucky is not much different. Just through there and picked up some great bottles but Blanton’s if I even saw it was 100 plus.
Ft Myers, Florida...$ 149.95 ( Located behind the Owner on the Top Shelf )
Only place in town that has a bottle.

Blanton's goes for about $150 down here...if you have connections, and if it is actually available at the time.
Quoted from Spiderpin:Today's pickup. Happy Father's Day starts at 5 o'clock and ends at 11pm Sunday night.
Happy Father's Day to all.
PS I used Booker's for bookends

Happy Father’s Day Weekend to you as well. Great Bookers-ends pickup. You can’t go wrong with Bookers in my opinion. I got lucky in my area today and found a Peerless Small Batch and now trying a Manhattan to see if it’s good as using their Rye for Manhattans while I play a few games and watch a little golf on TV. I’ve also been using this Noilly Prat vermouth and it’s good, but I still think the Carpano Antica is the standard sweet vermouth for my taste.
Happy Father’s Day to everyone as well and hope you all have great weekend.

I will look into it. I've never even heard of it.

I believe it is from Saz (BT parent) so likely to be hard to find since anything BT touches is in high demand. Maybe a little less so since it is a Canadian rye. That said, I have never seen it in Georgia (although never looked for it).
I do really like the stopper.

I like their single barrel too

I have one bottle of Mays. It's smooth and definitely has an apple taste.

Nice! I have one of these NIB how does it compare to the higher years?
Quoted from EJS:Nice! I have one of these NIB how does it compare to the higher years?
I prefer it to the 15, but you can’t compare it to the 18, 21, 25 and 30. But then the price triples to go to the 18, and skyrockets after that.
Quoted from Daditude:I picked up a bottle of old elk on a recommendation from a friend. Has anyone else tried it?[quoted image]
I had a Va. ABC store pick Old Elk in my hands one day but didn't buy it. Came back a couple days later and it was gone. How was it?

Here is the real Old Elk:

I haven't tried it yet. I will post it when I do.
Well I went from this to this. Only after no one wanted or could use China Hutch from my Mother-in-law who pass away in 2018. Just didn't want to see it get donated, yet. Now when they see it they'll be like, why didn't I think of that. I'll be thinking "You don't have a collection, I do". A toast to my Mother-in-law, Cheers

I think four roses is decent for the price, but it doesn't align well with what I look for in a taste profile

Looks like something from a Doctor's Superscription. One Shot a Day?

I tried Old Elk finally the other day. It was pretty tasty, but I don't think it will crack my regular rotation.
