I am a new owner to this machine and was struggle to get the catapult to reset after the ball is launched. Can someone explain which spring goes where. I have tried several variations for spring location and none are making it work properly. A picture would be a great help.

    welcome to Pinside:

a couple of pinsiders have this game ( I don't ...yet anyways )

unfortunately this video doesn't have a clear image of that area but it does show a gigantic spring right above the coil in your image

Starting another thread in this section my draw their attention

I have one - I'll try to remember to take and post pictures when I get home (feel free to remind me - I can be forgetful at times.....).

Here are a bunch of pics. The heavier duty (thicker) spring goes towards the coin door and hooks in to the farthest spindle on the catapult (you can see the e clip from the side). The smaller one hooks onto a different spindle. Try to see the location in the pics. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck with your bowler. I love mine!!

All pictures were taken from the open coin door. And pardon the mess inside the machine - I do use the interior as a storage compartment for crap!

Homegameroom -Thanks you very much for the pictures!!! What I cant tell is where does the big spring attach. Is it on the shaft of the catapult or is it the same location of the smaller spring. When I watch the video that was attached above, it does not look like there is any spring attaching to the shaft of the catapult.

The springs attach at 2 different locations- it’s kind of hard to photograph.

The larger one attaches to the shaft that you can see on the side of the catapult (look at the 3rd picture to see it). The smaller one attaches to a shaft slightly forward of the other one; you cannot see it from the side, but you should be able to see it when you look straight down the catapult.

You can see where the rear spring attaches (well, you can see the top of the shaft) on the 5th picture.

Double check to see that your machine has the 2 shafts by looking down the catapult without the springs in it. The last picture sort of shows the attachment points.

Let me know if you need new cards and I can send you the file.

I bought arcade trackballs for replacement balls- they work perfectly!
