I can speak to the question you have about the yellow/violet wire. It was removed as part of Service Bulletin 84 to prevent overloading of the 50v fuses.

Yup, that's where mine is as well. I have a hunch if the machine was built in the factory around March they performed the bulletin in-house before shipping it.
