    The weekend project, a WhiteStar MPU with pretty severe alkaline corrosion. When I first looked at the board, I thought it was a marginal repair candidate. But, it's a WhiteStar board, which are tough to source these days, so I pressed on.

    It's turning out better than I thought it would.
    The prior "tech" had done a craptastic job of abating the alkaline, broken traces prying a socket off, etc.

    It should be good as new, with a nice SuperCap or NVRAM installed later today.

    I've got one that is in similar condition with similar previous work done to it. I keep putting off working on it because so many of the caps and small traces are affected. Kudos to you for tackling the job.
