Quoted from Whysnow:Oh YEAH baby!!!!!
Works awesome! Quick and super cool!
My buddy grabbed a short video of it last night and I asked him to post. He will likely upload it later today.
Nice to hear, thanks. Is it hard ( with the glass on ) to qualify a xenomorph head ball lock? just seems strange in 4 hours of streams we've watched so far no tongue action
Quoted from PoMC:Took me a little while while watching the video to realize a single complete game wasn't being played and that a time lapse effect was used to splice gameplay videos together. A few times after a ball drain, suddenly another ball was launched or in action and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from.
I watched most of the video but did briefly skip around. What time in the video shows the ball being eaten by the head?
Yes a lot of balls just turn into ghosts in the video
Ball eaten at 7m11s.
Quoted from Bendit:Center-post between the flippers? Without it, the video would have lasted 1/4 of the time?
I question the center-post.
In the video, the player doesn't seem to nudge the machine very much, but instead makes use of the center-post.
I'm not familiar with this type of play... None of my games have center-posts.
It's annoying when you have a new machine with a center post, play it to death then drop back onto another machine without one and watch the ball going down the middle on purpose!
Quoted from Whysnow:It may be a good idea to add some reduncancy to the opto and basically on the final target hit, program for the tounge to come out no matter what?
I would guess the issue is you would not want the tongue coming out if the ball isn't definitely on the magnet, i.e chance of a ball in play hitting the tongue side on. Just my guess.
