Quoted from flashinstinct:

While I appreciate Heighway's involvement in pinball I just can't get passed the damn cabinet. I hate that you don't utilizes the entire cabinet it just seems unfinished. Increasing that decal area would really help. I can't fault you guys on the layout and Aurich's work. I want to play one of these not sure I would own one.

It's not a decal. It's a light up giant plexi, and looks pretty rad in person. It can't go up higher...the wood needs to be there so the playfield has something to attach to.

Of which no one is going to do. I know it's a selling point but it's just not going to gain any traction at all. Maybe 1 in 15 games sold will be a kit? MAYBE.

If Heighway starts to get on a roll and releases a few titles I find interesting, "hell yes!" I'm gonna be buying kits to save space and money!!!

Quoted from Zampinator:

I was Very critical of GOT's art. So critical I wrote it off in my mind. That was a mistake! What a fast & fun pin, with outstanding rules! So, while you might not like Alien's art, I wouldn't cast judgement until you see it in person & give it a flip.

Everyone should keep in mind how much lighting and light shows give a playfield a different look when you're actually playing it. There were plenty of games like Tron, AC/DC, and Iron Man that made me go "oooph!" when I saw the "flyer picture" ...but in person, I LOVE how the games look. I think Tron might give one a good idea how Alien will look when lit....but then you also have the possibilities of the color changing lights - I have a feeling the minimal look of the playfield might vanish when interesting light shows are sweeping over the action.
