Quoted from chrisnack:

Worst advice ever given the history and information available...
The best advice is that if you ANY uneasy feelings, get the hell out now... waiting for the dust to settle is not a good plan...
If you have money to toss into the fire, then sure go ahead and wait "patiently"...

Buddy of mine bought an Alien back in Feb based off Heighway promises, paid in full. He got out and received a full refund, likely after raising hell with them (this dude doesn't take shit from people at all). Squeaky wheel gets taken care of, and gets refunded. Those who wait, get hosed.

Quoted from chrisnack:

Oh trust me, I didn't take shit from them. The money didn't exist to refund anymore. Your buddy got lucky when there was still money to refund apparently.
The other 4 guys who asked for refunds within days of me, still haven't gotten their money. I managed to lock their PayPal account, which is the only reason i think they refunded half, but not 100% sure.

They need to find the money to refund anyone who wants out. Once those obligations are satisfied, people can and will have confidence in the new management. There's nothing wrong with them trying to keep people in with incentives, etc... but refund those who do want out as soon as possible.

There is significant value in the game as it is now - basically done minus a few fixes and code bits. There is also value in the Heighway Pinball system, although the finished Alien game is the biggest prize. JJP has sold over 2K WOZ's, so it's not too farfetched to think there is a market for 2K Alien games. If they could produce these games at an average $1500 profit each (conservative guess: 5000 to make, 6500 to sell), that is $3 million on Alien alone.

The fact the game is basically DONE really helps the chance that the company can be saved.
