I am having a wierd issue with speech on my Williams Alien Poker. The sound is working just fine. The sound diagnostics produce all the correct sounds. If I turn the machine off and back on, speech works for about one game. Then I only partial speech. For example, when you start a game, its suppose to say "Alien Poker, you deal". I only get get the "Alien Poker" and then some sounds.
Am am not sure what to look for to fix this. Where should I start?? Thx.
The sound card gets the voice inputs from a few of the coil driver lines, maybe you got one with a flakey connection to the sound card.
