Hello everybody! Finally, after some years, I've finished my Alien Poker! It's missing only the spinner (I'm waiting a new spinner bracket) but for the rest is 100% complete and operative!
The only strange thing in my opinion is the trajectory in the shooting lane: I've thight the screws in the existing holes but the ball cannot reaches the upper playfield. Always acrosses the playfield, then hits the opposite guide and drains near the flippers.
Here some pics of my current situation. Is this space normal between the lanes and the metal post?
The rubber is irrilevant... it is "hidden"...
Thanks to all!!!

Should a plastic post be there instead of the small metal one?

Does the manual say what post or rubber needs to be used there?

The ball should easily cross the playfield and go up to the top rollover lanes. Where is it hitting on the left side? If too high then bend the guide on the right down, if too low then bend the guide up.

This is the original post I found when I started to disassmble the playfield. The post is metallic (the same post installed on a spare AP playfield) with the mini rubber. On the manual is not written the rubber dimensions.
The ball hits the the guide in its upper part, but the shooting guide is regulated at the max. I cannot bend it down (and it is also covering the black border of the playfield art)

Looks like you could remove the screw on the left of the mount then adjust the guide with the right screw in the slot.

Mine is exactly the same as pictured and yes you can adjust the guide to adjust ball travel

Ok guys... when the ball is launched and cross the playfield, it hits the opposite guide too high so it means I have to adjust down the guide, right? (as per Leesparts suggestion).
But now, my guide is already adjusted at the end of the stroke (down). I can bend it only up... but I think is not the right solution.
When I come back home I will take a picture.

And, what about the post+rubber? Someone with an Alien Poker? Please post some pictures of yours

I rebuilt one of those a couple of months ago for a friend. Had the same issue, I solved it by getting a selection of various strength shooter springs & trying them until I found the one that worked.

Mine looks exactly like yours. As Dasvis mentioned i would get a stronger spring if you do not have one because it is important you get it up there on the plunge if you need the kings...some guys like to soft plunge for targets and if they drain with zero points well its like a ball save.

If it still doesn't make the shot with stronger spring then i would manually bend the guide to suit
