Hello to all.

Yes, these are still going to happen. We are busy gathering all to start of begining of next year.
We have them on scedule. The light inserts will all have the sunburst pattern from the bottom,
many folks asked to do so to prevent the cupping on the inserts.
If you wish to be on the list, please send me an email to peter(AT)buthamburg.de

Hello to all

we do expect that you have the intention to purchase the playfield if you want to be on the list, otherwise why should we do a list if its a maybe or probably.
It is hard to run a small batch and we dont want to produce to many and get our funds blocked for further projects.
We want to help those who need a playfield. We have kept the old list, to re-check we will write to all on the list to confirm again.

Many people have asked us to use star burst inserts. The normal inserts in Aliens tend to have cupping,
many people sujested to use the star burst to prevent the cupping. We have decided to go with Star Burst inserts.

Hello to all.

We are now ready to mill the Alien Poker repro playfields.
Production is planned to start on the 18th of Febr. 2019.
The Alien Poker list is still open until then.
If you are intrested to purchase an Alien Poker playfield,
then please send me an email to [email protected]
with your postal address. I will then enter you on the list.

Please note that we are using star burst inserts. Plenty of people have ask to use them.
It is to prevent the bad cupping in the flat inserts, that will happen if using the flat version, its just a matter of time.

Hello to all

We have the original scanned films and we have a secondhand playfield.
All the films will be re-drawn completly and re-matched to line up perfectly.
The color codes are on the films, but we will compare to the playfield.
We mix the colors a little brighter, stroner, than on the playfield and match the tones
so they fit together. It would be nice if we would post a picture of the artwork before
we get the films printed, Then you can have a look if all is OK.

Hello to all

The rest of the milling is done after printing. If the cut outs are to big, it is very disturbing while printing, often messes up
the silk screen.

Regards from Hamburg
Leon & Peter

#75 5 years ago

Inserts are milled and glued first. to not break the silkscreen the bigger sections are milled after silk screen printing. Thats all.
Its more work, but if the screen breaks, then you have a delay and ofcourse more work. That is all to it.

Hello to all

We have had a delay in all our playfield projects, the printer failed badly. We have bought our own printing maschine
and are getting back on track. Today we have printed the first color, white. It looks very good but the white is a bit thin.
Tomorrow we will print a second layer. On Sunday we will print 2 colors. Attached is a picture of the printed white.
We wish all a nice weekend

Getting along slowly, today we manage to print the green. We are having a heat period
at the moment and the paint dry out in the screen. We had to wash out the screen regular.
3 more colors to go, blue, red and black.

Yeah, the Alien Poker is ready to rumble.
Today we printed the blue, the red with raster and finaly we printed the black
Now it is time to have a big big beer. Maybe even 2 beers.
We are proud to anounce that our first print turned out to be amazing.
It was a big task, tempritures at 34 degrees, washing the screen out many times, but it was worth the job.

Hello to all

Yes, we are busy shipping out the Alien Poker playfields.
We have sent out emails to all the folks on the AP list. If you did not receive an email,
then my mail might have landed in your spam folder.

Our preceedur is very easy.
Pre-order. You send an email to my mail address, peter....buthamburg.... with your postal address.
You can also use the email link on our homepages.
I then put you on my pre-order list.
Once the playfield is ready for clearcoating, I send out an email with the request to pay for the playfield via PayPal.
Payment received will activate a Parts Order in your name. Once your Playfield is ready for shipping, you will receive an email from DHL
with your tracking Nr.
If you have question about the status, you are welcome to send me an email with your questions.

We do not rush our work, we are an old school manufacturing company since 2,5 decades and in second gerneration, Family bussiness.
Our playfields are genuine Silkscreen printed, we are not fond of digital printing, we dont want pixel mixed colors, we like the genuine old full and bright colors.
Each color gets printed seperatly, the colors are prerfectly matched. Our Playfields are genuine Hand Craft. If we find an issue,
we repair the issue, even it if means to sand off all and start from the begining again, That is the reason why we have had long delays
in the passed. Now that we are manufacturing all steps of the playfield ourselves, things are speeding up very nicley. We can work in our own pase
to get you a great Playfield. Buthamburg wants you to be happy with your Playfield.

Have a nice day

We are letting the clear coat rest a coupel of days before we start packing and sending out, some are good and some need a few days,
