Yes, me too! My wife just saw the results of my Jungle Lord playfield swap and commented how nice it would be to for my Alien Poker, the birthday gift that started it all, to look fresh too. And since I totally enjoyed doing that swap, I am eager to do another one. A win-win-win situation

Hello to all.

We are now ready to mill the Alien Poker repro playfields.
Production is planned to start on the 18th of Febr. 2019.
The Alien Poker list is still open until then.
If you are intrested to purchase an Alien Poker playfield,
then please send me an email to [email protected]
with your postal address. I will then enter you on the list.

Please note that we are using star burst inserts. Plenty of people have ask to use them.
It is to prevent the bad cupping in the flat inserts, that will happen if using the flat version, its just a matter of time.

1 Alien Poker playfield 630 Euro
Shipping to the US. and Can. 95 Euro
Shipping to Australia 105 Euro

1 Alien Poker playfield for EC countries 630 Euro + 19% VAT / MwSt.

Awesome can't wait!

Do you have a rendering of what the PF will look like?

PPS shared the Alien Poker screens with a vendor who created an overlay, but the overlay is incorrect in some areas, specifically the text on the lower blue inserts on the overlay is black instead of white.

Hello to all

We have the original scanned films and we have a secondhand playfield.
All the films will be re-drawn completly and re-matched to line up perfectly.
The color codes are on the films, but we will compare to the playfield.
We mix the colors a little brighter, stroner, than on the playfield and match the tones
so they fit together. It would be nice if we would post a picture of the artwork before
we get the films printed, Then you can have a look if all is OK.

Quoted from rkahr:

Wow - staring at a Murphy's law decision time. I spent a good bit of time in September making a playfield protector for my Alien Poker because the commercial ones don't exist for this game and my playfield is in marginal cosmetic shape (I didn't want it to get any worse). Reference https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/i-made-a-playfield-protector-self-evaulation if you want to see my home-made protector - it wasn't expensive but it was hard to do. I had seen this thread prior to that effort but assumed it was unlikely that these would be made anytime soon based on early "low interest" comment. Kinda figured my protector could end up being be a bridge until a replacement came out, but I didn't think it would only be a couple months.
When does the list cut off? Do you want "maybe" or "probably" on the list? I would guess a mid-2019 delivery, right? Certainly this run will be a "now or never" opportunity.

Hello to all

The underside of the Alien Poker playfields have been milled. This image is showing
the first milled top side with the black film laying ontop. Small adjustments must still be made
but all looks very good and fits neatly together.

Looking really good I am anxiously waiting for the finished product.

At what point does the cutout for the drop target bank get made? I would've thought that's done prior to glueing inserts, priming or printing. Educate me.

#73 4 years ago

Hello to all

The rest of the milling is done after printing. If the cut outs are to big, it is very disturbing while printing, often messes up
the silk screen.

Thanks for sharing info about the process.

It's interesting that milling happens in phases like that. Is there a benefit to milling some of the holes prior to printing rather than just milling and installing inserts first?

#75 4 years ago

Inserts are milled and glued first. to not break the silkscreen the bigger sections are milled after silk screen printing. Thats all.
Its more work, but if the screen breaks, then you have a delay and ofcourse more work. That is all to it.

Hello to all

We have had a delay in all our playfield projects, the printer failed badly. We have bought our own printing maschine
and are getting back on track. Today we have printed the first color, white. It looks very good but the white is a bit thin.
Tomorrow we will print a second layer. On Sunday we will print 2 colors. Attached is a picture of the printed white.
We wish all a nice weekend

Absolutely beautiful. Hate to admit it but it looks better then my current playfield with only half the colors!

#96 4 years ago

Getting along slowly, today we manage to print the green. We are having a heat period
at the moment and the paint dry out in the screen. We had to wash out the screen regular.
3 more colors to go, blue, red and black.

Yeah, the Alien Poker is ready to rumble.
Today we printed the blue, the red with raster and finaly we printed the black
Now it is time to have a big big beer. Maybe even 2 beers.
We are proud to anounce that our first print turned out to be amazing.
It was a big task, tempritures at 34 degrees, washing the screen out many times, but it was worth the job.
