Alright, so I just picked up my first Pinball Project, a Williams Alien Poker Pinball. The flipper fuse is in need of being replaced and I'm not entirely sure which fuse to replace it with. I've found 3 separate sources that each say something different. Pinwiki says Williams system 6 boards need a 10amp FB fuse, pinball.flippers.info says to use a 10amp SB with system 6 machines with 2 flippers and a 15amp SB fuse with 3 or more flippers, which I believe they got from a Williams power supply board schematic. The 3rd source is the Williams Alien Poker Instruction Booklet PDF from ipdb, and it says to use a 10amp SB. The old fuse is a 10A AGC fuse. I also noticed that the power supply board has been replaced at some point in the games life, and it looks like it came from a Firepower machine. (Someone wrote FP on the sticker. I know that probably makes no difference, but just in the off chance that is does) So which is it, 10amp FB, 10amp SB, or 15amp SB, since the game has 3 flippers. Not that it matters, I included a image that has screen captures from the various sources rolled into one image with the URL of the page I got them from under each section I'm sure it's probably overkill.

Since Alien Poker has 3 flippers, the correct fuse for your game is the 15 amp SB. This way it gives a little bit of extra protection for the extra flipper circuitry. There should be a sticker on the right panel of the inside of the back box that states all correct fuse values including a special note for which flipper fuse is needed. Firepower and Alien Poker should use the same Power Supply board.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I had bought some 15 amp SB fuses and started second guessing myself once I started to find other sources saying something different when I decided to double check. Since this is my first pinball project, I figured better to be safe than sorry.

Always best to be safe rather than sorry. jhend is correct though, 15 amp sb.

Yes the correct fuse can save you lots of trouble down the road. Glad you got it fixed! Alien Poker is a good game.
