Quoted from AlexSMendes:

But what all those video shooters gotta pay attention is to correctly level their pins.... in that GB video the machine is clearly leaned to the left (and it fuckin drives me crazy!!!)

There were a few right down the middles. If I was paying for that game I might move to the next machine. Another thing, a couple of times like when it went in the vuk and it went in the call outs, I was thinking ok let's go. I wanted to go fix a sandwich.

Quoted from Mr68:

That's your prerogative but it's more than just me you'd be explaining to. I'm not the only one with concerns here. And I think these unanswered questions will linger for you and create doubt. What a pity.

Down vote me if you want but I think $h!t stirring will create doubt. It's not like they are asking for full payment up front. They are shipping games for pete's sake. It takes money to pay for development and parts and labor. Give them a chance. If you have money down and are that nervous get your deposit back and then you can say I told you so later.

Oops picture wouldn't attach. Never mind.

Can the Mods just boot everyone from this thread except Heighway and their reps so next time there is a new post we know it'll be news?

You can just go to heighways first post and click on the black head and shoulders in the upper right and it will only show his posts so you don't have to see all the others.

Quoted from HeighwayPinball:

There's some other stuff that will be bolted on by next week, tested and then revealed later

I heard from a very good source that on a multi player game the loser gets acid sprayed in their face and the mouth comes out of the mouth and rips out their throat. Clean up is kind of a bitch and they recommend tile flooring.

So Alien is around $8000 and Dialed in is around $12,500?

Uh, ok.

#8115 3 years ago

Oh good, I can kick in a little more and buy a full throttle kit or a couple really nice classics with the change.

Guess I will keep an open mind but I might could swing a Alien.

Quoted from DialedOut:

Before ordering, maybe check this out. Can't post link...just put a h t t p s : and see for yourself.

That account barely lasted a day. Our moderators are getting really good.

Quoted from SLAMT1LT:

Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) isn't in the game. The player is Ripley and so you experience first-hand everything she did in both movies.

I remember her speaking in the movies. She should be in there. "Get away from her you bitch" comes to mind.

#8218 3 years ago
Quoted from TheLaw:

It's a rights issue I thought...they would have put her in if they could.

I know, I was just saying to bad. She should have said hell yes, that's another way for me to stay relevant.

Quoted from Ferret:

I'll enjoy my waning moments of having the only Alien Pinball in the USA...

You don't live in Pennsylvania. Oh wait... you have been working on the prototype. I wonder what owner #1 would think if a "field of dreams" car procession pulled up at his house?

#10959 3 years ago

So... that was the big update. Can't get much bigger than that.

Thank you to those who have emailed me to let me know about the latest comments on Pinside.
There has been a lack of communication on our side because a lot is going on behind the scenes - and we are hoping to make a significant announcement within days.
We apologise for this lack of communication but everything will become clear shortly.
You should know that there are some Pinsiders here with ulterior motives - with an interest in bringing our company down.
We would ask for a little more patience please, until our announcement is made.
Thanks for reading.

Hmm... only one downvote. Go figure.

Where are you guys finding these Stern Starwars rumors? I am getting ready to fill in the hole where the Alien is supposed to go eventually with a game and would like to know more about a star wars pin.

You kidding? There are like 10 threads in the last 3 hours. Everything but the prices it looks like.

Quoted from Sonny_Jim:

My point is right now no one is going to be placing orders with them due to the negative image they've got.

I know what you are saying but it sure hasn't slowed down stern any. Node boards, playfield issues and now cabinets. Not to mention banning people on social media for even asking questions. If Alien starts shipping in numbers and support is good I believe they will do fine.

Repeating the same viewpoint over and over is annoying and does not add to the discussion. Please stop it, we've heard you the first time.

Holy shit. If that ain't the pot calling the kettle black.

#17972 2 years ago
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

The first week of being told go - they would have communication to customers established - via phone, eMail, web, twitter, Facebook etc. multiple ways to access tech support, support queue, hotline etc and with a published list of times available. Week two - they'd have permits, building licenses, legal documents, incorporation docs in place. Probable have a team - vetted and in place for handling engineering, HR, tech support, customer support. oh well, we have HP

You could bang all that out in 2 weeks? You might give them a call and ask about a job opening.

Jeff? You have like 17 posts of train wrecks in this thread. We understand you have issues with the game. Give it a rest.

#18677 2 years ago

Nice downvote?

#18721 2 years ago
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Great honest update HWP you bared your soul and filled in many missing pieces of the puzzle. We learned a lot today and better understand you - when and from where you started, recognition more work is required, acknowledgement of working to improve finish quality on games and recognition that pre-paid people are owed active communication and a game.
You continue by outlining progress of LE, gave a rough timeline when you expect to deliver the LEs, described how remaining refunds and new games will be issued as cash flow allows and promised enough funds should be there to complete all prepaid games and to supply as many new money orders as wanted. Existing Alien machines will need to be upgraded and this will occur alongside other components that require cash.
Thanks for letting us know, we will be following closely. This should help calm some nerves because it answers so many concerns and it indicates effort is being made on many fronts. The overall message I get from reading this is that HWP is committed to delivering as many Aliens as people want and that they are working to make an already great game, greater and they seem determined to satisfy all their customers. That is a great plan imo and I feel HWP is going to work things out. Being patient is hard, but as long as progress is being made and future updates are expected, we'll try to sit tight.

Quoted from spfxted:

There is only one reason they're not doing that....

Because pinsiders would be out for blood and cause a huge scene/stink?

As a casual observer who has no skin in the game it looks like they are shipping more and more machines and starting to take care of early "issues". Yes there are still some mechanical problems and I know it's different if it's "your machine" but the forums are full of owners with issues asking for technological advise from every manufacturer new and old. Not to pick on Stern but there are almost 4000 posts in the "ghostbusters issue" thread alone.
I am just hoping they get things ironed out, everyone is made whole, anyone who wants a Alien gets one and they go on with other titles and make Heighway V2 a success.

Quoted from Atlantis:

Guess he was a bit ****ed at me popping up and handing out his address to people lol

You posted up his home address?

That's pretty f'd up right there and your laughing about it.

Maybe you should just post up your address? I'm sure there may be a few crazies that might want to stop over.

#21845 2 years ago
Quoted from NeilMcRae:

If someone owes me money and has a track record of scamming folks - I’m posting their address and any other details I have. Next.

I didnt say he doesn't deserve everything he gets but putting his family and kids at risk because of some nut job with a "vendetta" by posting his home address IS f'd up. Next.

#21951 2 years ago

I hope he ends up in jail.

#21975 2 years ago

That's crazy. If the whole plan was to "run off" with the money why did they spend MORE money on boards with pinball brothers on them? They spent money on another batch of boards when they didn't have to. They could have made a couple machines and staged 100 different pictures and hauled ass. I think they really did want the company to succeed but after reality set in the knew they were doomed.

Props go out for the whole alien crew (owners too). I'm amazed the game came out so good with Andrew involved. If it wasn't for the awesome people he had working on it, this game would be a disaster.

Now owners have stepped up to make sure the game lives on. One more reason why pinside rules.

#22961 1 year ago

1- No, just the hundred or so (no one knows for exactly sure) that are already out there.

2- worrying about parts/pieces but owners are stepping up and sourcing repair parts.

Yes but I thought I remember that only like 200 of a certain part was molded or something. Maybe I'm thinking of the predator fiasco.
