Quoted from Astropin:Just confirmed with Melissa at Cointaker that my game was on that ship!
BTW in my brief conversation with her she mentioned some people had been giving her a hard time about shipping. Saying they had been promised free shipping from Highway? If that came from Andrew you can forget it. If it came from the new owners you better work it out with them. That's not Cointakers problem and they obviously can't ship pins for free.
BTW she quoted me a great shipping price (but I'm not too far from them).
Heighway was also charging $350 for air shipment.
Direct quote from Morgan: "The airfreight option is a direct shipment from our factory floor to your door. "
File a complaint if you've paid and not received your machine:

Quoted from simon:But, completely hypothetically of course, what if those new directors sold the ip / Heighway tech to another company, say for instance if they maybe already had one set up ready since say, hypothetically again, last summer?
And then , hypothetically, liquidated the company to lose minor investors and other 'less critical' creditors who werent key to restarting the whole process again - those sort or creditors would be unlikely to be customers as without some goodwill there is no future business.
All completely hypothetical of course and completely my own unfounded opinion in case anyone decides to be silly and go legal for no good reason
Like this pinball brothers company?

Quoted from spoke:although sounds like conjecture, is it possible they transferred/sold the assets to themselves so they could start over and screw over those with deposits, paid in full, contractors, vendors etc.?
I would like to think it would be illegal to do that right before liquidation or did they transfer that months ago in anticipation of this? Which would be equally bad in my eyes, but maybe not under the law.
I would think that all those assets should be handled via liquidation to try to get the most return for creditors.
Obviously we don't have all the info, but something does not smell right. I guess we may know more after the fourth.
If it is true, and they turn around and these same guys try to make these machines under this new company, while hosing vendors, contractorss, pre-pay buyers, then there is no way in heck I would buy from them.
Pinball Brothers Limited incorporated June 16 2017.
Quoted from AndrewH:Statement From Andrew Heighway
I am truly sorry to hear about the turn of events announced today.
In June 2017 I sold my controlling stake in Heighway Pinball Limited – including its commitments and liabilities - to a group of investors who claimed to want to put significant funds into the company, achieve mass production and deliver part-paid and fully-paid games to customers, as well as new machine sales.
Throughout the five years that I ran the company, we developed and sold games up until the time of my departure. This was never a ponzi scheme, as some have suggested. A mix of technical problems, supplier quality problems and unrealistic timeframes resulted in delays that financially crippled the company. We were all committed to delivering games to all paying customers. I personally apologise for the unrealistic timeframes.
There have been suggestions that I stole or diverted company funds for my own ventures. These are very serious accusations and never once have I been interviewed by the police for any alleged wrongdoings. The company’s accountants have never suggested any wrongdoings by me. It can be proven that the company owed me significant monies and not the other way round. I would therefore advise people to refrain from making any libellous or slanderous statements about me – as I will defend myself and my integrity.
I very much regret that the company’s owners have closed the company without honouring its commitments to all paying customers and I wish everyone the best in pursuing their claims against the investors or via the insolvency practitioners.
This situation has appalled me and I am extremely sorry for the anguish that it will inevitably cause.
Andrew Heighway
You didn't honor your commitments either.
My game was paid for and promised to be delivered "before" you sold your stake and I didn't receive jack shit.
Quoted from hansj66:Status update:
Like I posted earlier, we have paid in full for an Alien SE back in 2016.
We actually recevied a call from Roger Svanevik today. Basically to tell us that we where fucked and that our money was lost.
But,... it turns out that the CT container was for real. When the CT-deal fell through, these machines were sold elsewhere.
It also turns out that Umbrella Corporation has Alien LEs for sale. Free-Play.se also has Alien LEs for sale (Both these distributors are owned by people who are owners / have representation in the board of directors at both Heighway Pinball and Pinball Brothers.)
Roger Svanevik then offered to sell us an Alien Pinball. This time an LE.
This is the same guy who assured us that Heighway would ship our game by the end of 2017.
Charming.
So did Heighway sell them to the Umbrella Corporation?
This is pretty fucked up.
I can't see how any of this is legal.
Quoted from jonesjb:What statements/communications did the new Heighway ownership share since coming on board, that could be construed as misleading (if any) can people share with dates for all of our reference please?

Anyone that lost money on this needs to report it:

Be sure and include the new owners:

Their shell company Pinball Brothers
https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/10822960/officers
And the other shell company Umbrella Corporation AS (a norwegian company) 50% owned by Roger Svanevik

Quoted from Davidus56:I got an email from the bankruptcy attorney that Heighway sold the Alien intellectual property to a third party before declaring bankruptcy. That is just another example of fraud committed by these scoundrels.
I haven't received an email but it doesn't surprise me.
Quoted from Oneangrymo:So far it sounds like none of the Alien owners are disappointed with their purchase? All happy?
Seriously?
