The amount of clear on the playfield looks impressive! Much better than Stern. This looks like glass!

Why not open a new thread about Zen pinball? This is under the subforum "Heighway Pinball" so I think it is a little derailing/off topic/disrespectful to talk about Zen pinball here

Quoted from SLAMT1LT:

I agree, all movie-based pinball games should have the original music and not an electronic mock up (which I hate). But in most cases this isn't possible, for various reasons.
However, we have David Thiel and his compositions for our game are fantastic. He captures the atmosphere of both films perfectly. And there's no one more picky about music in pinball than me.
Music can massively change the atmosphere of any game. Terminator 2 is the best example - in the digital world I was able to create my own version of Terminator 2 but removed all the original music and added Brad Fiedel's superb score (from both films). Later I think PinSound were able to do the same thing to the real tables.
Nothing is better than the original music from the original composers but I think Alien is the closest any pinball game has been to offering a decent alternative.

Do you have a link to your table so I can hear your T2 score/mix?

Brexit kind of ruined my thought about buying this If we have to add customs and tax like in other none-eu countries it will be to expensive..

#6637 3 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

On the bright side US buyers are sitting in a pretty good spot now, the dollar vs the pound hasn't looked this good for a long time.
I've been spending my Saturday working on revising the playfield for the latest (and hopefully final) CAD and watching streams of the CEO Street Fighter tournament out of Florida. But anytime I've taken a break to check Twitter or Facebook all I'm seeing is Brexit talk. Whichever side you're on, if you even have a side, it's a bloody mess right now, that's for sure.

But you already have Stern and others in us.

With all the clearcoat and QC problems Stern has now. The release of this game is perfect timing

Even though I can't afford a new game, I'm really interested to see the final product. I may need to find a way because this seems to have a ton of potential.

In same situation

What is "related" to you? Release - no? Talking about prices etc. - Yes

Quoted from redundor:

Anyone else notice how the inlanes feed to the flippers?

I drew all the ramp returns and inlanes/outlanes to see how they would work. Looks like it's going to be super fast! Only thing I am not sure about are where the one way gate will be on the right and how the upper left ramp will return. The purple line on the upper right may be for the ball return from the alien ball lock. I guess we'll all know soon enough!
edit: I am also pretty sure you can shoot under the upper left flipper, but I don't know where that would feed to. Looks like the ball save area, so maybe that area behaves differently depending on how the ball gets in there (outlane vs under the upper flipper)

Sorry for my bad Paint skills, but dont you think it is more like the yellow?

I love that it is made in Europe. The prices are so temping

#7967 2 years ago
Quoted from Almost4200hp:

No its not. It's made in Britain. We're not in the euro gang anymore

I know that's why I did not say EU but Europe ☺️
I have to buy before the trade agreement ends.

Any idea when will get an in house video of the pin flipping just to see and hear it properly, I saw a little bit of the gameplay from expo and the promo but would like to see more, Andrew maybe you could let us know? By the way this is my favorite pinball pic of all time, amazing. Thanks

WOW! This looks amazing! We need more of those pictures It is better looking then I was hoping for.

Quoted from o-din:

Well, if it was up to me, I'd just include that post in the goody bag or whatever and let those that want to use it drill away. And those that don't won't have an empty hole to look at after removing it.

Are you saying the flipper space is less than T2? I love it because it is a strategic element to have it on T2.

A question to andrew heighway since you never stand by your word.

The only you say is , We are sorry but its due soon , Im sorry but we make it happened this week
We apologize but NOW its your time , over and over again , the same story repeats it self.
And I also have to call you oversea besides all emails but always the same story
We apologize bla bla bla ,
I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR APOLOGIZE , JUST REFUND THE MONEY
Today’s date is 2017-03-17
Does it take over 4 months Andrew ?
Should it take over 4 months Andrew ?
I see a pattern here that I've seen before !!

Is the savings greater than having two games out where previously there was one? I see no justification to have .55 of a game in storage.

Are you only here to troll or can't you read?

Quoted from Hazoff:

mean 2 guys on a line building pins doesn't really boost my confidence, I hate to say it but I'm losing it.

How many are at work in the middle of the night and properly long after normal working hours where you are?

#13153 2 years ago
Quoted from Hazoff:

Sorry but that makes zero sense, what r u trying to say?

Look at the timestamp of that video, and when he said it was approved, remember this is UK timezone.
So my point is that saying few workers in a video that is filmed maybe at a strange hour is not a solid reason to make any conclusion on.
If it still does not makes sense, please let me know.

Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:

Yes they are supposed to, unfortunately yours don't and you didn't even list that problem yet. This is A LOT of quality issues coming out of 25 pinball machines made. delt31 Search for a connector you may have overlooked to plug in and power the insides. Does paper peel off the back side of blades to allow light to shine through?
Maybe week three those fourth graders could focus on 1) ensuring final quality control of each game prior to boxing 2) creating an operator or owner's manual and 3) reminding HP to answer emails and toll free phone numbers and skype calls. That way people awaiting refunds and those needing spare parts or those with technical issues etc, can call and nag HP every day until they follow through and provide basic minimum customer service. Kudos to CT and Nitro for stepping in to fill this void and to get HP's participation. Maybe this will become the defacto means for resolving issues. It works.

Dude, what is your problem?
You are using so much energy in this thread, trying to make everything negative. So a pinball has issues after being transported from Europe! I don’t think there is anything new in that. Stop stirring the pot please.
You are complaining much more than the guy that actually Bought it!!!??

#18034 1 year ago
Quoted from Wickerman2:

I suppose if a brand new to pinball guy, got an account, went to this thread and read only the last few posts and decided to spend $8k, there's a chance they may miss the history of the company. I'm not sure that's enough of a chance that we need you jumping up and down waving your arms screaming every 3 posts but have at it I guess. We get it though. We get it. Got it. Understood. Clear. Check. Affirmative. Roger. Thanks for your service.

+100 spot on!

Speculation or fact or something in between? Your saying my comments are not helping anyone makes some big assumptions. With probably half the readers on Pinside lurking and not actively engaged, what basis other than your opinion do you have for this attack? How is your suggestion about what I or anyone should write add any value? Weak sauce.

This is what I think when i read all you none stop bs comments:

Quoted from pingod:

I updated code on both prototypes here, one game had a io2 board not found error after 10 games.
Air lock scoop, Vent 1 scoop, upper left flipper, and both switches by upper right ramp not working.
Other game seems fine so far.
except for the Alien mech not working, and auto plunger sticking out after launch.

Was the update for the prototypes? I thought they needed some kind of upgrade?
