Quoted from ultimategameroom:I ordered from Cointaker and didn't even think to ask melissa.
does Cointaker charge sales tax for out of state orders?
Quoted from guyincognito:What is the cost of a wooden cabinet, a backbox with LCD and metal legs? Is that really 40% of $6450 or $2580? Will someone else sell a compatible shell for less?
the computer and electronics would be on that list as well
Line is consistently long but I've gotten in as many games as I could so far, loving the game and will be placing my order asap
Quoted from dzoomer:LE schmellee (had to rhyme it, lol). All the significant (#) pin releases have regularly been available on the used market and this one won't be any different. Plus, and this will really bake your noodle (sidebar: there's another great theme ), imo, Heighway would be crazy to have not set up similar licensing potential to what JJP does. If the demand is there (so many here are gaga for the pin and it's a great theme) can you say future Hudson edition, Bishop edition, Nostromo edition?
I really hope Heighway doesnt go that route but, the way Fox is dragging their feet on approving artwork i dont think they could do that many editions before the license is up
Quoted from sed6:Good eye! Put me down for one.
Back to me and my woes about the original translight art...when I ordered mine with the 27" LCD I added on a full image one for a very reasonable price. Figure I can hang it on my wall or swap it out.
There game doesn't still come with a translite if you upgrade to the lcd?
Quoted from NPO:No, why would they? You get one or the other. If you upgrade to an LE with Stern, do you still get the different cabinet art or different translite in a separate container?...
I get your point but an LE from stern isn't an add on, its a different product. the screen is an add on
Quoted from Russell:There will be a playfield storage solution that we will offer in the future as a product."
This stood out to me as well.. I thought the container the kit came in was an all in one storage/shipping container
Quoted from Whysnow:yes, it seems to be quiter relative to other games. I would say similar to anti-rattle tape.
Basically the framed glass design means the sound from coil clack does not come out the gaps between normal glass and side channel set up. May also be that the cabinent itself is super hefty and dense.
Maybe it's just because it was so loud in there but at TPF one of the aliens didn't have glass and I thought it was quieter in general over other machines I've played
Quoted from sd_tom:I sort of got the impression that they are salvaging alien and thats about it. Have they really committed to keeping heighway going ?
I think they are going to continue the company, I'd be hesitant to buy alien otherwise with lack of support
Quoted from jonesjb:In pinball does altering the factory goods increase our decrease the value? Is this treated the same as a mod where something is added, but not altering the actual pin?
Considered as a mod, alot of people have painted the sparky in their metallica, though im not sure how many have sold with them
Art is subjective and could add or decrease value based on your buyers taste
Quoted from Astropin:Who the F includes delivery in the price of their NIB machine? Name one.
Not sure what all the different deals have been through the years, but current price on Cointaker site does state it includes shipping
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:Black trim looks great on the Alien SE's. While, I like the custom black with green powder coating job shown elsewhere, I'd very happy keeping it black.
Black looks great but really wish they would have went with black legs to match. Something I will have to look into if I end up with one
