Damn, I want some pictures of both versions.

RIP Bill Paxton. Major bummer, a little to young for us to loose him.
Is Twister and Apollo 13 his only pinball machines?
Do you pick your LE # like Jack does, or you get number they send?
I'm ordering one as soon as I see the complete LE package.
Anyone know when LE package will be shown, TPF maybe?
It's a shame I can't push a button and the playfield rotates end to end and there's two games in one.
California needs an Alien!
Will someone please bring this to PAGG or California Extreme in the coming months.
Who is everyone ordering from?
Just go to cointaker, or through Highway directly?
Ive looked at both website's now.
Is there pros and cons for using contaker?
Quoted from Astropin:Slightly cheaper direct.
Slightly safer through Cointaker?
Exactly the conclusion I came to.
Is it wrong i want to flip and play this machine before buying it? Even thou im already wanting it bad, love the theme!
Played Full Throttle a bunch at last years PAGG. What a great game! Ever since, been following this every step.
Really want to see an Alien at this years Pin A Go Go! Month and a half away. Can we please get one there?? Youll just sell more!
These are being assembled in Wales, correct?
How close are they to south hampton port and c-container shipping?
I might be in london late August. Do i need to go fill a container and ship it home. Dont care about LE artwork and Fox anymore, who needs it, game looks complete to me.
Not worried about invisoglass, many are making it now.
Lets get that assembly line going boys, clock is ticking and mother is counting down!
Quoted from Tsskinne:» YouTube video
Should be linked right as the mode is starting in that video.
Super awesome..cant wait to see topper beacons interact with this!
I just want my machine by xmas..
Who can help me figure a way to get an Aliens to the Pin a go go PAGG show May 18,19??
Great show with lots of silicon valley customers if you catch my drift Andrew...
Quoted from Tsskinne:Any questions about the actual game let me know happy to help.
Can you bring it to Dixon Ca May 18 for PAGG? Pretty please with suger on top.
Looking forward to buying one.
But not until I play it first.
If there isnt one at PAGG or CAX, I probably wont get to play one till Expo in Oct, only show im flying to this year.
Andrew- Thanks for the update. I ship c-containers from time to time. From pick-up to delivery globally can take anywhere from 30-45 days to clear customs. Im sure the cointakers will be here soon.
You can throw it on a plane from 700-1000 extra, will still take a week to clear.
Biggest flaw or problem ive seen was selling the 3 machines out of TPF.
Those 3 should have gone on tour rather than get sold. This would have been really good advertising for the pin. Many shows on west coast next 3-4 months, and no Aliens will be present......well, there is a remake making these shows.
Quoted from HeighwayPinball:Cointaker's games will ship by airfreight
Now thats customer service. Thanks Andrew!
Almost feel like draining this thread.
Everyone relax...or start your own pin company and build them yourself. Well see how that goes.
How do we get one of these to Pin-A-Go-Go , Dixon Ca in 2 weeks.??
The same weekend the movie comes out!!
Now thats a no brainer!
Quoted from MK6PIN:Holy shit!!! Is that an LE in a home?!?!.....looks unbelievable....congrats!!!
See what happens and you dont panic?
Customers who paid in full over a year ago, are, and will be receiving machines in the months ahead.
Everyone relax with the refunds..
1 am in Wales, and Andrew is up reading this thread and answering questions.
For the love of God people...let the man run a factory and build our machine's.
Not one person on pinside should complain till you do 120 hour work weeks, no sleep...just to build a vision...for all of us to enjoy.
Well, Jersey Jack, Gary Stern and and the Emery spooky team...there alloud to comment.
Quoted from ezeltmann:Tell me what part of that excuses ignoring customer concerns for close to a month.
What could you possibly need..?
How can Andrew hold your hand today?
Even if paid in full....what do you need?
If its a refund , well you will get it.
If refund never comes in a couple months, then ok, complain about communication then.
But why would you want a refund?
Your game is being made!
Took 2 years and a boat load of parts and licensed partnerships...so you know how hard that is?
430 pm on a Thursday afternoon in Wales..
Andrew had morning coffee, were past High Tea, the day is coming to an end at factory.
Andrew, time to sit down at computer and answer some emails. Ship some Full Throttle parts to guys that really need them.
Or, higher someone to do these jobs!
Its time for the small guys to band together.
Highway, American Pinball, Jersey Jack, and dare i say Dutch pinball. Maybe even spooky.
They should get together and form super pin company!
Quoted from HighProtein:Congrats on the Worst idea of the day!
Are you sure...ive read quite a few bad ideas in this thread?
I know Super Pin would never happen. But in today's economics, it just might work and save pinball.
Unless you want Sterns the rest of your life.
Im wondering if Andrew is waiting for this thread to hit 15k before he comes back with an annoucement?
4pm Friday in Wales.
Do they work on the weekend at factory?
Have they done any work this week?
Is there anyone even at factory?
With all the requests for refunds, I count about 40 over the past month, how is he even able to meet payroll?
Quoted from rotordave:All I'm saying, I'm not giving money to anyone unless there's a machine on a truck the same day.
At this point im not giving anybody money till the box is right in front of me.
Quoted from Wickerman2:Hopefully this comes through soon before the pinside panic-o-meter blows past red.
We didnt hit that Already?
Quoted from ezeltmann:This guy (insider) seems to think things are moving forward. Is there any reason not to believe this?
When was his last paycheck?
Quoted from Aurich:I asked on behalf of the investors, at their request. Obviously the Pinside staff gets the final say. I probably should have made that more clear.
The other thread is going to be about the exact same things as this thread, and trying to track two, when one is nearly 300 pages long and full of things that are no longer relevant to the current situation just complicates things. All the questions and answers in one place seem reasonable to me.
I think everyone can agree that the last thing this project needs is more confusion than necessary. Does it matter? Nothing here is being erased.
Did you ever get a machine?
Just curious.
Thanks
Thanks.
Hope you get a free one by christmas.
I still on for one, but going tobwait till after the new year. If company is successful they will be available for several years. So i feel no need to bitch about anything.
Quoted from Tsskinne:Yep it's mine and it should be Indiana not Tennessee.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-alien-1#post-3802023
Open to trade for Ruby Red WoZ with 2.0 boards price is just pinside suggestion. Open to offers.
That's a fair trade.
To bad....i understand, cant blame you.
How long is the license agreement good for?
Can they even get that many ...1200 made before it expires? My guess is 300 games by christmas if there lucky.
Im sure damn rooting for them.
Quoted from Aurich:If by America you mean the US I believe Cointaker is the exclusive distributor.
I wish there was a west coast distributor.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:You are still talking pinball and not pizza or pot, right?
Yes, pinball. Cointaker not at all local. Rather have c-container of Alien end up at port of long beach or san pedro.
Here in cali we have way to much pot and pizza.
Quoted from DCFAN:So, the standard Alien went up in price $1500 to around the Stern LE and DI Standard pricing range?
And they want to sell more machines...?
Price bump sucks...this is another nail in the coffin for Highway..
Time to start the...Remember when we almost had Aliens thread...
Quoted from DCFAN:This huge price increase is not just a nail in the coffin of Alien pinball, but to Heighway pinball and their modular system. The modular units are only attractive if they are at least $1000 less than Stern Pros and it does not appear that price target is going to be feasible.
The modulare swappable playfield never interested me. I wouldnt want to store a populated playfield, it doesnt make sense.
I see it for guys with small footprint basements in europe, but thats it.
Also, theres only one other table available.
Im also not seeing company make it to 3rd table. Look how hard its been for these two.
Quoted from Dee-Bow:made u look
Still nothing to look at!
How's that factory in wales doing?
End of the day there, anything get accomplished today?
Quoted from greatwichjohn:Seems real quiet from the investors. You would think they would have update on the factory & employee's. Anything going down the line, or still in limbo land until the Fall.
There probably regretting there invest day after
day. I dont mean to be a debbie downer, i really want this to succeed for all involved.
Just a guess here...
Oct, big reveal expo, much excitement.
More orders placed and promises of games by first quarter 17.
Money on these new purchases used to pay for back order parts and xeno head.
Texas show, more excitment, machine getting close, more delays and promises.
More orders placed, money used to pay for back orders of parts and xeno head fix and development.
More promises..
Can anyone say ponzi scheme? Pyramid scam?
Andrew was way over his head and screwed thia up big time.
New investors.....they just want there money back. License expiring end of year with option to extend a year. But, with no money this will expire Dec 31.
My prediction...a few games will get made but this company is done in 6 mo.
GET OUT NOW, REFUND QUICKLY IF YOU CAN.
Quoted from frolic:Many of the LE features were announced before a game existed, which never made sense.
There's been a lot that didnt make sense.
Quoted from Pinballs:I agree about the price.
BTW the game is not being built in England
Fine, Wales, sorry I was in general country not specific territory. Its still British pound, Wales does not have its own currency yet.
Pricing could kill this, when a product hasnt meet timilines and goals. Changes management, struggles to produce. Ups the cost 25%, your going to lose customers and sales. Pricing could be final nail in coffin for company.
Get your game quick, or you wont get one.
Any more broken glass show up in USA yet?
How did that last month of production go?
Looking at Sept next week, how is that promise of 50 games coming?
A 45' foot C-container takes 3 weeks to arrive from Southhampton England. Another 5-7 days customs approval.
A 45' can hold 45 full size pins on pallets. A 20' can hold 21, 3 rows of 7. It does depend on size of pallet.
Not sure how they would get 50 in one container.
Real question is, has a container left, and when?
Andrew said a lot of things....
Pretty sure, facebook, 30 days ago management mentioned c containers by boat.
Quoted from jeffspinballpalace:That's assuming they are shipped by sea. Andrew maintained he had an inexpensive air/truck delivery to US that was the same price as ship/truck. If new owners have something similar, shipping 50 games to one location should be a piece of cake.
Quoted from OLDPINGUY:Thank you, so a 1 SMD 5050 programmable RGB instead of the 5...cost savings, and failure rate.
Reduced brightness from prototypes more than 4x.
Do most feel it needs spots?
Is this whats in JJP pins?
If cointaker is getting a C-container...rummered to be 40 plus machines.
1- if i was Highway id be pretty proud of this and show some pictures.
2- Highway would make this a sales pitch and show some pictures, proof of this.
3- Show a picture of assembly line, been awhile.
If im a betting man, and i am, there is nothing in a container yet, or left for states.
For those that dont know. Awful lot of paperwork with a container, yes..ive done a few. You can even track the ship as it moves on high seas.
Pics or it hasn't happened!
Not that hard to issue a refund.
Not that hard to make a decision on fiber EL ramp lighting.
Something still not right in Denmark, i mean Wales.
Hurricanes not affecting shipping lanes. Just checked. South Hampton to usa pretty clear. The boats go around such events.
Didn't see any pics of machines leaving factory.
We have at least a month before Cointaker see's these 13-25 pins. So at least 3 more pages of dribble before unboxings.
Looks like pins left UK factory 10 days ago. Dont know when boat left. So, my guess, there will not be new Aliens at expo.
Quoted from luvthatapex2:Doesn't it say final destination October 17?
Plus customs, and delivery to CT. By Nov 1, guys should be posting box openings.
Quoted from cosmokramer:This guy is gonna have a panic attack when he sees his box...
Im sure the game is fine, but someones gonna sweat it when they see it...
Thats a ratchet strap in truck to cointaker. Those us shippers have no clue on doing straps. Lets hope theres no damage.
This picture is 4 years in the making. Glad it's finally here, at least, round one.
Congrats to those in first batch.
Fingers crossed guys.
70 containers lost at sea off coast of North Carolina in high seas storm.
That would be a nightmare.
Quoted from Astropin:Sooo...if you head over to the "outer banks" you might get lucky and have an Alien pin wash ashore?
Ya, but you will have to wait a long time for replacement parts, cpu, and boards.
Quoted from Durzel:The Cointaker shipment of ~75 LEs is both on its way and waiting to be fulfilled. Schrödinger's boat.
You know, 75 don't fit in any container! I do this for a living, I really know. 2 containers yes, 1 no.
Quoted from QuickSilverShelby:That's F#cking funny!
Except, of course, if that POS owes ya $8,500. Then that joke isn't so humerous.
QSS
You should all put a Lien on his Hydrofoil Co.
Time to storm the factory in wales guys.
In 2007 i had a very diffulcult fragile purchase from an auction house in London. After a month of phone calls and emails i said F-it. Got on a plane and picked it up in person. Saved 2300 vat, which paid for trip.
Going to break pinside rule #1, Be Nice!.
Andrew Highway is a Dick!
Highway his real last name, seems like even his last name is a scam?
Quoted from Mr68:Reliable IMO but secondhand information, I'm told he still monitors this thread even recently. And his Pinside account appears to be active.
https://pinside.com/pinball/community/pinsiders/andrewh
Last seen Dec 17th. So he hasnt logged in since then.
Kudos to CoinTaker and Melissa for saving the headache for many. Glad a little bird called her, (assuming, but huge coincidence). IMO
Despite this news the past week. Im still seeing some denial. Theres no more Aliens guys, its dead. HW 2.0, doughtful. Container of pins, doughtful.
Creditors and money owed, insolvency, Yes.
Many bills to be paid. If there is any machines, parts, assembly line equipment....auction to pay depts.
British law would charge new company if it can be proven assets were removed under questable means. They dont mess around with this lightly over there.
Quoted from Nepi23:Oh wow, is that what I saw in the previous page the most unpopular post on Pinside ever?
Let's hope we break 100!
Quoted from benheck:My game was better, and we'll probably never see it.
Hey Ben, call American Pinball.
Quoted from benheck:Did it on retainer so the design is owned by Spooky.
Aww, shucks.
Well, we can only hope one day.
At this rate,it will take spooky a year to catch up on TNA and Acnc.
Quoted from bigd1979:Its gonna be years finishing acnc and tna if i had to guess
I was being pessimistic, and polite.
It could technically take spooky 3 years to finish building TNA. But that isnt a bad thing. Machine is selling well. Great game, played it several times now.
We study the past to understand the present, and prepare for the future.
- Lincoln, T Roosevelt, Carl Sagan
Never prepay for a machine that isnt in a box.
Well said Art.
Quoted from jonesjb:When will their be an official communication on the standing of all preorders?
Oh denial, just not a river in Egypt.
Sorry bro, Im pretty sure all pre-paids money went ro Andrews lodging, airfare, Porsche and imaginary lifestyle.
Quoted from Kneissl:So, how many games were built? Seems like over 100.. can anyone definitively answer now that it's over?
Not enough.
Quoted from jlm33:True. I met Andrew at least twice, and he told me he was considering "salvaging" the licence after Skit-B exploded.
Did he ask you for pre order money or to buy shares in this new exciting venture?
Quoted from jonesjb:What are The Pinball Brothers planning. Will they close shop completely? Or reshow their face and pull some maneuver despite letting down the community.
I dont think its wise to give any pinball company money that isnt on US soil. Dream theme's included. Just dont. Your better off betting 10k in vegas on long weekend. Sadly, better odds in vegas than getting a preorder pinball overseas.
