Quoted from FalconPunch:

Shameless indeed! Someone said that guy look like Kevin a while ago and it was all good. Chuck popaduik into the mix and you have crossed the line!
Yes. I am sure all manufactures are super serious about everything and can't have a laugh. Look at how miserable Jack was when he came down to Australia.
» YouTube video
Lighten up people. It was just meant to be a bit of fun. Do you come on pinside to have fun and have laugh. Or to get into arguments and hate? Seem like that latter is more popular.

Jack had a great time in Australia, away from all the stress of Pinball, relax and enjoyable time

I'm looking forward to where my issue with this pin I'm a little turned off because of the look of the metal ramps.

And Andrew walked away with a big handshake to start hydrofoil

#15143 6 years ago
Quoted from epotech:

Pure conjecture on your part unless you can back up this with facts.

Why walk away and hand over all the assets to investors, there is money involved, sold his shares or is still a share holder

There would be a contract of sale of the business, not just new directors signing on that is for sure.

It will all come out in time

#15328 6 years ago

What they should have done was send out a letter to buyers

Giving people an option

If you wish to stay in the new refundable deposit is $250 to max $1000
Refunding the difference already paid.

If you want them to keep full payment and are happy to do so that's fine as well

Or 3 refund in full

They would get a ton more orders and show the investors and banks they have orders on games.

Even I would order a container if they were the terms

Now that is a great sight Aliens Invade SA

Quoted from Olaa:

The day has finally come! Thanks retro arcade.

What's the alien topper

#20733 6 years ago
Quoted from pinsanity:

The distributor is a current paid up commercial sponsor on that forum.
He got reinstated through the Homepin loophole after being banned for life except that Homepin has subsequently been deemed persona non grata there so how to conduct commercial sales on a commercially biased forum without drawing the arbitrary ire of the Admin?
Machines are being sold locally in Australia (approaching 40 by last count) but to new money - those who are outside of the local pinball forum clique and either don't know the backstory or the risk of being able to obtain replacement parts in the future.

Another load of dribble out of your mouth, yes we have been selling Alien and have been able to get spare parts from HP

I think the problem is software once you update the code , people seem to be having problems with io boards dropping out, etc

I don't think there has ever been a pinball I haven't been able to fix.

Yes they need a tech support system and a manual for the games and parts support, I am sure those things are all possible.

Maybe we should all setup a Facebook site, or forum for tech support and assistance to owners.

#20739 6 years ago
Quoted from Ilushka85:

Did those users also update the io boards ? It’s a manual update

Yes

#20740 6 years ago
Quoted from pinsanity:

Meanwhile in Australia.

What, nobody to talk to at your work?

The negative of being a funeral director I guess

#21559 5 years ago

Most licenses you have 90 day window to sell remaining stock even longer if ordered before deadline

If they sold games to a 3rd party company like a distributor, the distributor can take as long as thy want to sell

#21763 5 years ago

Yes well we all have to recover our losses as well

Losses not profits

#21782 5 years ago

Licensing is hard
I heard $100k was what Johnny Depp was asking for use of his voice for pirates
Most license holders won't pickup a pen for less than $20k

#21938 5 years ago
Quoted from mnpinball:

As of November 1st 2017 only enough molded toys were made for 120 games.
No more orders were placed with the molder vendors supplier.

Who was that as back alley haven't responded

#21958 5 years ago

RS Pinball were owed $148,500 but Stefan is also one of the shareholders or investors

#21961 5 years ago

If that was the case we would not have any pinball manufacturers
Pinball turns billionaires into millionaires

#21983 5 years ago
Quoted from EalaDubhSidhe:

They couldn't have liquidated straight away even if they wanted to, not without repercussions, because the fly in that ointment would have been, er, me. Specifically, the situation I'd been put in and what the HMRC was trying to do about it.

What is hmrc for us idiots

Quoted from Nepi23:

Question to those of you fortunate enough to have an Alien from the latest manufacturing batch (I think it was 02/2018?):
How well have these games operated out of the box? What kind of problems have you had? Did you get support from
seller/Heighway to fix the problem or did you manage to do it yourself?

Depends on the problem, once a few minor things are resolved they play fine

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Do all the LEs have lighted side cabinet panels?

Yes

#22363 5 years ago

Wow $13k us and selling, makes my nib LE for sale at $10k cheap

#22381 5 years ago
Quoted from Aurich:

The damn thing is sold. The money is definitely not giving me stress, gonna do something for my family with it, feels good.

Go on a holiday with the family and relax and Enjoy

#22396 5 years ago

I think only a very few will ever own this game

#22409 5 years ago
Quoted from WolfManCat:

Was just playing and not sure where this screw came flying from... I think somewhere from the orbits... crazy

Also noticed last night that it shipped with a broken plastic. Guess it was just a matter of shoving these out the door before they were locked.

I think it's out of the side of zeno mech 2 screws are very loose

#22427 5 years ago

There is a rubber stop you might have remove
Also it could be binding in the black bushing

#22429 5 years ago

Did you re calibrate the zeno

#22431 5 years ago

How about the switch adjustment
Is the shaft going back far enough to pull the ball off the magnet?

Is the jaw hitting the target brackets

#22501 5 years ago
Quoted from Damonator:

Finally - I’m in! Had a deposit down on #237, ended up with #227 - close enough! I haven’t even played a game yet - still tweaking things - but it’s incredible just seeing it in person as I never thought I would own one.
Can someone point me to the software and IO updates? The link previously provided wasn’t working when I tried it.

Glad it arrived safe from Australia

#22503 5 years ago

Post some pics as not many Aliens in the USA

1 week later
#22515 5 years ago

Well they did get burnt $80,000 pound in the deal as well

#22517 5 years ago
Quoted from cliff_clavin:

That is irrelevant. If coin taker promised the security of the deposits, then they should refund the deposits ASAP. Their 80,000 was lost a long time ago particularly on a cash flow basis. A company looks ahead and plans for a crisis like this and should have the reserves to deal with it.
Of course its easy for some person on the forum to make these blanket statements but that’s what a small business has to do to survive in this challenging environment.
Cheers
C.

Well good in theory but if they make $1000 a game thy would need to sell a lot to recover the loss

#22521 5 years ago

Quoted from thewool:

In a weird parallel twist Andrew Heighway has just been blocked from the UK pinball sellers Facebook page. Odd indeed...

Why has he got some Aliens to sell

#22737 5 years ago

Only 2 Standard SE left and then its all game over

Get in before they are all gone, as i bet they will be $15k within the next year as demand out weighs supply.

You can but the fumes damages the boards

#22942 5 years ago

#23128 5 years ago

1 week later
#23206 5 years ago
Quoted from colonel_caverne:

Mine is build 11 April 2018. Maybe in the last batch?
Apparently all seems to work fine.
My first impressions are very good, populated playfield is really stunning, I love the inserts and the lightshow which grade reminds me Woz (best lightshow imho)
The ambience is awesome, one of the main assets. It is also pleasant to follow lcd animations on 3 screens, specially on the playfield to keep an eye on the ball.
I can’t talk about rules yet but the acid mode (the only one I played yet by lack of time) is well thought out combining shots to do and shot to not do.
Still looking for this big bolt is used to and if you need to adjust leg levelers or is it factory leveled like last Stern? It seemed to be well playable as is. [quoted image]

that looks like a flipper cabinet plate bolt

#23215 5 years ago

Try replacing io boards around or usb cable

1 week later
#23259 5 years ago
Quoted from Lamprey:

So, now that I've gotten everything setup, I've been playing a bunch more. Unfortunately, I'm having one small issue that I can fix, but was curious if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
Sometimes, as in just about every other game, a ball stays at the every start of the trough. This then leads to a ball coming in on top of it that jams up the hole. I was just going to add some foam or something to the start to prevent this.
Not a huge deal. Just curious if anyone else is or has experienced this?
Also, the playfield is level side to side and the pitch is at 6.8 between the slings and 7.5 in front of the xenomorph.
[quoted image][quoted image]

I had that I used a 1" half round file and filed the bottom of the playfield from above though the top, but the bottom right edge, just enough for both balls to fit through the hole

#23260 5 years ago
Quoted from djh00000:

#23423 5 years ago

check the ball launch spring like the VUK we changed to a weaker one

#23437 5 years ago
Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Ok more to my problem # 2. It only happens if its autolaunching! Not when I press the button to launch the ball. If I press the button the launch is strong and 100% . If its multi ball or a scream save, then the launcher does this nonsense.. where does that point the problem to?

check the shooter lane switch adjustment

#23472 5 years ago

IO board code is not the issue its the code on the Sensor boards

Quoted from Averell:

I don't know who is selling these boards in Australia either, but I definetely know that someone ordered that older soldered crap last summer.

I have what you call older solder crap Io Boards 1.4b that work fine and have helped many alien owners as well as the xeno boards and many other alien boards, Inc Complete Xeno mechs, sensor boards leds, ball trough boards etc.

#30028 33 days ago
Quoted from Averell:

What you have... is nothing but an overpriced board that doesn't even work properly.
This also applies to the XENO boards with the stupid servo connection and the power supply board, which was fried so that it can be used without a toroidal transformer.
If Heighway had done his homework there wouldn't have been so much crap floating around.

Yes well the crap has helped people get dead games up and running and my original one works fine with these crap boards
