Why/how did the trim color change?

Does it have fiber optic ramps?

Because it is an Alien LE and It needs to be Green

It does seem strange that Heighway would ship an LE under the radar. I mean with all the heat he's taking to let that ship out with no official word of it?

Join_the_Cirqus, please end the confusion and explain how your game's trim changed color from the time you first posted ten days ago 'till now. Did you have it powder coated? Did Andrew send you replacement armor? Do you have two machines? ...you would end a lot of speculation with a simple answer.

The powdercoating was changed out to Alien Green from Alien Black

Is your cabinet glossy or matte? I was looking through your photos and the earlier ones looked more matte. The new ones looked glossy. Could be the lighting. LE is supposed to be glossy.

Did Heighway send you the replacement armor? Or did you just do it yourself out of your own pocket?

The game was shipped out as a Black LE (per my Request) from the factory.

I've been very supportive of Heighway in this thread, but I can't help but think this DIY LE approach is a bit odd.

Its like pulling teeth trying to get the story of this SE LE controversy...

Black was ready to go, and I was ready to play. It is simple as that.

I knew this was going to happen, and I got downvoted for it. Heighway really needs to get moving.

Well my guess (and I hate speculating) is that he ordered his machine with green trim and heighway didn't have the blue or green armor ready. So they sent him what they could, a standard with the backglass of a LE and side inserts. With the promise that the optic ramp lights will be sent at a later date.

You might think that sucks but I'm guessing every single LE preorder guy/girl would swap positions with him now if the only downside is you need to powercoat your game and wait for optics.

I could be totally wrong but none of the lucky owners of an alien are going to say anything negative about Heighway, even if it just that the green powdercoating legs aren't there yet.

Sad that the same two people have such Negative Energy in this thread.

In that case, I do like the green color of your LE. That's the green I would want on mine.

Obviously this was done to satisfy an impatient buyer ( just send what you got). Sorry fellas, this is not a true LE just because Andrew signs it and writes LE on the box. Looks like LE's are not going to ship in May

I tend to agree. And the green wouldn't likely be the true LE Pantone. I mean isn't this just a standard, with LE art and a plaque? Wouldn't one be better off just paying for a standard and then adding on the beacons as an add on? For a LE with half the equipment missing, that's some expensive LE art.

I have a FTh LE and the plaque sits on the backbox bezel. Nothing on this "Alien LE"

Isn't a Stern LE just a Backglass and Powder coated Armor, a plaque and something signed by Gary?

I've been excited about this since the thread was started. My excitement is turning to confusion at this point. I am waiting for a standard that was part of 10 paid over a year ago and nothing told they are waiting on boards etc.. and all of a sudden an LE pops up. I would like to know when this LE was ordered??? This is starting to get a little weird and all the not so flattering posts on here are starting to make me rethink my decisions. Please answer when you ordered I didn't see an answer to that question yet.

Bottom line, LEs are not shipping. But DIY LE kits are available.

Imagine all the confusion that could be avoided if people didn't insinuade or vaguely describe things. A lot of misunderstanding could be avoided. I don't want to take sides, but sometimes all the vague responses from people makes it a lot easier to be sceptical, and could surely be grounds for conspiracy theories - Which sucks if there's no grounds for it.

Did Heighway give you the color to give to the powdercoaters?
Or did you just choose one you wanted and thought would be the most similar to the 'official' colour.
Some people might be looking at this thread and thinking their machine might look through same and it could look pretty different.

If you are getting a Green LE you should probably verify the color variation with Andrew directly.

That answer to me is the problem. Why have people paid in full and have not gotten a game let alone the 10 that were ordered. Someone comes in late in a time many are asking for refunds to try to keep the excitement alive while others are getting screwed that have paid seems a little off and wrong. Why not take care of the people that have already sent money and let them post pics to keep the excitement alive???

Starting to seem like a cash grab con unfortunately. Get people excited if they buy now they can get their game but the majority will just join the rest of us with no game then trickle out another one or two to try to get more money
