Played ACNC today for first time, absolutely loved it. Was wondering if this was a normal issue or
specific to that particular pin- everytime the match screen came up it would freeze for a bit when trying to show the match number/lightning. Also would freeze and stutter when it shows the comic book flipping.

#7553 1 year ago
Quoted from rotordave:

I would suspect the pin is on old code.
The freezing was an issue early on if the pin had been running for a long time or played a lot. It was down to memory issues with how the game used images.
Haven’t had an issue on the newer codes.

Ah makes sense. Was on location with many other pins

Is there anyone at spooky still working on occasional bug fixes?
I noticed the replay score keeps changing between 20k, 35k, 40k
Also force restart doesn't work sometimes, recently when someone set it on 4 player.

Quoted from Coyote:

This is expected, and is adjustable (I believe) - everytime you get replay, it will raise up, making it more difficult to achieve the next time.

Excellent, I stand corrected. Thanks! Does that only reset to 20 when power cycled? Such a great game

Quoted from Nick36:

I’ve been having a glitch issue on my screen where it runs smoothly sometimes and other times it kind of pauses for a split second. Like when you hit a monster mode the pages flip through smoothly to the monster battle and other times it glitches and pauses.. Has anyone had this issues or know how to fix this?

The last question regarding glitchy video was resolved with code update. Mine does not glitch or pause

Still searching for the Medisinyl volcano mod, also interested in the lab mod, if anyone is trying to reduce the sale price of their pin or has uninstalled leftovers.

My frank lock will spit the ball out, return to hidden position and never work again because the 3amp fast fuse in the backbox will be blown. Replaced fuse and he works only once like normal, up then hide, followed by that fuse blown again. Does this sound like a bad servo or some other typical issue? Has worked flawlessly since I bought it.

Quoted from GuiitarMan:

The employees that made the topper are no longer at Spooky and they aren't able to make anymore of them. This came directly from Squirrel.

And Bug just said on the ACNC stream that AJ made them, qty 50-100

Quoted from Mudflaps:

Hey gang, new owner! Standard new game blues.
The frank servo does not work in test or the game. Is this position correct on the board? The knocker and shaker connections were backwards, so I’m not full of confidence this is correct.
Anything else to check before I replace the servo?

No, both need to be shifted one position to the left. The first spot on the right is position 0.
As you can see from your backbox sticker, frank should be position 1, castle position 2.

Welcome to the club!

You can see the numbers underneath each location:

Also check that fuse just below the connections in your picture. My frank keeps blowing the fuse. Will be tearing it apart to get at the servo soon.

For anyone replacing Frank servo in the future-
Was able to remove servo without dismantling anything. Support rear of PF up, and extend Frank to top most position by hand.

Remove servo bracket from PF via 4 screws, I was able to get at them from the very top with a few cuss words as it will be a few tough angles. Alternated between a flat blade screwdriver and a socket driver, head clearance is limited.

Then rotate entire mechanism 90 degrees to then remove center wheel screw. Will have to stick a flat screw driver down in between servo and wheel and gently twist to get wheel to pop off. Note the position height of the vertical Frank drive post vs the servo gear wheel to replicate when reassembling.

Then remove 4 screws holding servo to bracket now that you can move the assembly around to get a straight shot on the 4 servo screws, and then disconnect servo under playfield. I will be replacing all 8 screws with Allen head so I can use Bondhus angled drivers. Would make the job much easier as the stock screws have super shallow heads. They appear to be M3.5x18 and M3.5x9

The problem is, the servo HK15288A has been discontinued as well as the replacement servo Spooky has offered up to people. Anyone else have another suggestion I can get? Specs of original servo was 9kg torque, metal gears, analog,180degrees. Is it OK to use a digital version with more torque? I read that digital draws more power...

If you are having servo problems, might want to check the connector wires before proceeding with replacements. All of the pins pulled out of my guillotine connector because they were not locked into place internally. I was able to get them all to lock securely, not sure if they were rotated wrong before install or just not pushed deep enough to the lock position. Makes me wonder if the sparky loose contact was blowing the fuse and the servo was actually fine.
