Holy crap the bass in this game. I was getting some serious cabinet rattle, so I ended up fashioning some spacers from cutting sections off a hard rubber post sleeve. These went on the screws between the subwoofer and the cabinet as someone had suggested at one point in this thread. That improved things quite a bit but still rattle. I'm wondering if I should go further and add some adhesive foam or mat of some sort between the cabinet & sub? The worst rattle is when the ball sits in the launch position, the atmospheric noise increases like feedback from a microphone due to the vibration.
Felt tape on order as well, to add to the sides and back of the glass as others have suggest, though the channel is already a tight fit. Will take a look at the backglass as well. Also tried to bend back the side rails slightly to make sure they weren't making contact with the glass. If anyone has done other things that have worked, let me know! My goal is to be able to play when the rest of the house is asleep without killing the volume completely.
On the plus side, really loving the game. Shots are difficult but the game is fairly forgiving when you brick a shot (nudging!). Love the standup vampire shot on the upper playfield. Very satisfying when you make good contact with it. The game hits well for me so far on pretty much every level: sound, atmosphere, variety of modes, variety of shots, meaningful upper playfield, great art, animation, music (songs just work great in the context of the modes). Enjoying the honeymoon phase for sure!
