Finally got into the club yesterday! Looking forward to getting to play and tweak this today... Just in time for the software drop too..

Quoted from poibug:

Mine was like that out the box,I adjusted the multiplier switch.
Sorted

Mine was also wedged under the plastic, put a couple washers under the play field, all good now, except one of the screws dropped from my hand and was no where to be found! Probably show up in 3 months, and I'll have forgotten this and search forever for where it should go..

#3821 4 years ago

New game on new code so not sure if this would of worked in earlier versions. The ball save magnet engages I think as it should, but so far on normal, pattern 1 and pattern 2 there is no real difference. Ball gets held, shakes a little bit, then just drops. This should shoot back to the play field ?

Also for the upper magnet, there is a setting for normal and 'Spooky', anyone know what the difference is ? I do not think I have seen a difference here..

Looks like my guillotine may of stopped working properly. It appears that the guillotine is part ways down, catches a ball, but then never moves. I was unable to find a test that would move it, and if i go to servo menu, i can set values for upper middle etc, but it does not appear to move when setting those.. Anyone have a similar problem, quick look seems like a bunch to disassemble to get a peek at what is in there..

Well traced it back, fuse that was linked to the servo board is blown.. Is a 3A fuse, hope I have one..

Yep, working on getting a new servo out now. In case it isn't said enough..., as tech support for spooky (and other) I TRULY APPRECIATE everyone's willingness to help out in the threads. I sometimes get behind and it really helps when you guys step in.
Thank you

Thanks, went thru probably a couple extra fuses, pretty sure the servo in the guillotine is stuck.. Altho at this point I am not sure the best way to get to it Looks like a lot of disassembly, unless there us an easy way to know which screws/bolts to take off first.. Was league night tonite, and the guys said 2 drinks or more - glass stays on

Quoted from Mr_Outlane:

People make this harder than it is. Just format a USB stick to fat32, download file, copy it as is to USB stick, insert usb stick into any usb port in pinball machine and it will install automatically. When it's done, the display will tell you to cycle power to machine. I never tried with a USB stick larger than 16GB though.

I just did mine with a 32G stick, no problem, only file on the stick...

Although I've technically been in the club for a while now, FINALLY got my ACNC unboxed and set up last night. My game is initially playing meaner than the one I've been enjoying on route in my favorite pinball bar, but I'm digging it even more in the home environment - such a cool game!
In the course of performing an overall inspection with of the playfield underside, I noticed the yellow/orange/brown cable (shown in the pic below) unconnected in the bottom right area of the raised playfield. Not seeing anywhere for this to connect to offhand.
Would greatly appreciate another ACNC owner enlightening me as to this. Thanks in advance!
[quoted image]

Kinda looks like the the connector for the guillotine... Might find a male connector labeled guillotine... Would coming from the backbox, likely laying down in the cabinet near the speaker.. I have mine disassembled atm, and it is the same color wires, almost certain came through that hole you have pictured as well..

Quoted from woody76:

Been looking for one of these and saw one went for 4700. Talked to the original owner and he trashed the game. He just wanted it gone but didnt give any details. Is there some quality issues or something? The times I have played it I like it.

Did he trash it just talk-wise, or literally wreck it physically.. I've played this game a few places and it has always played great.. Like any pinball machine there is some level of tweaking needed once you open it up, and Spooky is awesome in supporting you if you need. Maybe this person just was expecting perfection .. For 4700 I'd like to get a second ACNC

I emailed last Wednesday, but never got a response from Spooky service so figured I'd just ask here.
My plastic protector has come loose and I havent found anything in the cab of a missing part. Does anyone know what I'm missing here? Is it just a screw coming through the bottom of the plastic like the top has?[quoted image]

Cannot tell what is loose from your picture, but here is a profile look of mine, if it helps..

Quoted from GuiitarMan:

It's the clear plastic protector with the 3 screws near the side in between the return rail and mountain. The bottom post has come loose (you can see the hole for it in my picture at the base of the long-neck monster's neck.)

Ahh, on mine there is a spacer the same height/size as the one from the top level plastic to the middle, aligns with the hole in the printed plastic, and screwed in from the bottom.. That pic shows from about under the bottom plastic..

Awesome! Thanks zukram!! Looks like I just need another post screw for the bottom part.

Then, you will find the missing screw 6 months from now, and then search all over from where it came!

Quoted from Ripshill:

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew where I could purchase some spare servos to have on hand. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFK266B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00

Those work (and fit).. If you choose a different servo, beware some have a slight bump out for the gears.. and will not fit in at least the guillotine without some modifications to the base..

*Note* Spooky did send me one right away as well, I was just not patient enough, so found a similar size and speced on on amazon that got here a day or two earlier..

Note 2, also this popped up for me:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BRS249H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1

So with that and other things i had, raspberry pi, small power supply, and a bit of python .. setup a little external tester for these...

#4014 4 years ago

Thought I would mention this if start with out lane ball save lit, then start multi ball like crypt, then get a drain right away in one of the out lanes while the crypt save timer is still active, it will consume both the crypt save and your out lane save.. Not sure if this is intended or was in code before the latest..

Quoted from WombatPinball:

So my ACNC is giving me phantom guillotine hits. It’s usually when I hit the right flipper. Any suggestions as to what the issue may be?

That is an opto switch, anything maybe hanging loose in fron of the receiver, eg. on mine there is a bit of foam that may act as a light shield or sorts maybe ? is the foam loose or missing on the ramp perhaps ?

#4029 4 years ago

This is what happens when you blow off work a little bit to get a game in

Only real bad part is that when it happened it made a nice arc right into the clear, and chipped the paint where it is supposed to stick into the playfield..

Has anyone noticed the leds all flickering sometimes with the new update? Eg whenever I start a mode, all the lights come on but strobing slowly for a second, then even out. Also noticed it on the GI around frank one time when locking a ball.

Cannot say I ever noticed it, but ran over played a game.. On mode start the lights do stobe but pretty quickly for a second or so..

Why not gap your machines a bit more so you can enjoy the amazing sideart?

Mine are packed as close as possible to fit more in

Those are the same I use on my games.. But I use those only on the front feet, on the back feet i use magic sliders. Plastic ones for the games on carpet, and felt ones for the games on hardwood/vinyl floors.. That way you can slide games out to work on them alot easier..

Quoted from Tuna_Delight:

I have had the same issue since changing my rubbers to G-I-T-D Titans. A clean shot to the left orbit is now rewarded by a SDTM drain after it comes around via the right orbit.
I've attributed this new, and aggravating, gameplay condition to increased ball speed due to cleaning/waxing the orbit lane (rather than the changed rubbers), but your coincidental experience is interesting. So far, a change in playfield slope has not alleviated the problem and I'm hesitant to bend the right orbit's metal ball guide as it will undfortunately exacerbate the already tight right orbit shot.

I had this issue too (same GITD titans), on mine it is more due to the thickness of the rubber under the lane guide as it exits the loop, it pressed the guide out some. Since then I was able adjust the guide just a little without bending it, and now a fast shot will hit the tip of the right flipper. I have been considering trying to adjust it more aggressively, perhaps shaving some of the rubber off as it is still pressing against the end of the guide and angling it slightly..

Quoted from zacaj:

This sounds exactly what I'm experiencing. How much did you need to take off to reach it?

You should know how much I had to take off to do it! I just did this to mine @ the RPC I can show you next time you are there.. The optos are secured under some stuff, you might be able to get the left side off w/o too much to remove, the right side however...

Quoted from chewiec:

Is it me or is that Guillotine a huge pain in the ass to setup. Even with the video from Spooky, getting it to be at the right height at 90 on the chop top is a pain. Hopefully that servo lasts a looooooong time.
Does anyone have a quicker or easier way to set the height on it more efficiently or just trial and error?

Slightly better than trial and error is to attach the new server outside of the guillotine, and in game servo settings, set the servo to the top position.

Then remove the guillotine, and bad servo, re-assemble it with it at/near the top position, and put it all back together. As long as you had the top set around 90 like you said, you should have enough play in the settings to get it where it should be accounting for any variance the servo has..

As far as a long time.. I think on on the third servo for the guillotine, and second for frank.. At least they are fairly inexpensive, so stocked some for the next failure.... (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFK266B)
