I'm wondering what the numbers are in the boxes attached to the wires, for example 71-5, 74, 98-6 . Seems I knew at one point and can't remember now.

Wire colors... Somewhere on schematic it tells you what the numbers are in regards to the color.

There's a table like this on your schematic:

They mixed abbreviations and number codes together in places.

Here's a redraw of the Aladdin's Castle schematic for your digital files

Damn Slochar, that's a nice re-draw. Well done. Looks even better than mine

Hmmm I uploaded with no resizing, but it seems like it didn't preserve the details very well, unless I'm just not seeing how to download it properly.

Whoops....

stuck the file here if people want to download it and print it out (it's sized to print out at Staples/Kinko's on their 24" wide printers)

Duh!

lol, it came out as a nice 11,700 by 3,000 pixel file for me. Not sure why it's in 256 colours though <g>
I assume you did it in Illustrator?

Nope, photoshop. Now, if illustrator used the same PEN tools as photoshop, I could have made the switch to that years ago. Old version of PS, too, 6.0 - but it works for me. I'm stubborn in my toolchain loyalty..... it took me ages to go from 5.0 to 5.5 to 6.0.

6.5 was the new interface which is what the version of Illustrator I have is and they changed the way they work.

Really? Well done. version 6? OMG. You're as bad as me. I used 7 for over 20 years then just recently I upgraded to the 2019 version, and wow, huge differences, I love it. You really need to upgrade. When you draw a box with the marquee tool it counts the pixels for you, I love that feature. Plus you can edit text after you've typed it and moved on. Very handy for when you forget to double space or forget a comma, etc.
Plus you can zoom in far far more than than 6 or 7 ever could. Plus you can draw out of bounds, very handy for huge circles like the pool balls at the bottom of the 'Big Shot' back glass. Gee, I sound like I'm giving Adobe a free plug now.
I'm trying to learn Illustrator CC but can't get the hang of it yet. It's the 2017 version....not 6.5, lol. You really need to upgrade man.

Cheers,

I got 5.0-7.0 free as part of my old job several years ago. I'm not a digital artist by any means. If it was something I needed for my current work I'd probably have better tools, but this is strictly hobbyist stuff for me. I redraw schematics when I'm bored with my other projects or just feel like sitting at a computer for a while. (I used to sit at a computer ALL the time, which is where I learned how to use PS in the first place, although I was also tasked with technical support of it so that was sort of learn at work thing - but because of that, I never wanted to touch it at home.... now, it's the opposite.)

Slochar - thanks for the schematic! Nice and crisp, beats what I had. Henry
