The coin lockout coil turning off and on when points are being scored is normal. This is an anti-cheat operation that the manufacturer designed into the circuitry. If a coin was allowed to close the coin switch while the score motor was running, it could award multiple credits on the credit unit. When the score motor is running, coins placed in the coin chute will be sent to the coin return tray as a result of the coin lockout coil being in the "off" position...
