Hey everybody, so my buddy and I need to take a vacation with the families which is great but we always find ourselves seeking pinball nearby whatever place we end up. Our goal this year is just to find an airbnb with some pin near a beach so the ladies can beach and we can drink beers all day and hang and pin all night.

Please add any airbnb you know of with pins and ill compile the list here so other lazy dudes like myself that would just like to chill and play pin half the day on vacation and have the family hit up all the sites meet in the middle.

Serious question, I run a campground that has 10 cabins (and we do have a game room on the property that has 3 pins) but would putting a pin inside a cabin really make someone book that wouldn't otherwise?

    In my experience...

The answer is yes. I have had people stay strictly because of the pinball machines. Also keep in mind as a guest if considering two similar properties...which one would you pick? The one with just the basics or the one with something cool & unusual?

The airbnb near Atlanta is my place. We've been doing this since March 2017 and have almost 300 five star reviews. We started with about 5 games and now have 20 pinball games and 20 arcade games from 1974 to 2018. We even have Pacman Smash air hockey!

Pinball is my passion and I enjoy sharing it with others. The games are my "babies" and are in clean, working shape... always. Our guests have 24/7 access to our freeplay arcade as part of their stay here. Some guests play an hour and some guests will play 12+ hours in a row. It's up to them.

The entire arcade turns on all at once by saying... "Alexa, turn on the arcade" and shuts off by asking Alexa to "turn off the arcade". The fluorescent and neon lights in the arcade are also controlled by alexa. I recently added music in the arcade as well. Just ask Alexa to play anything in the Amazon music library and it'll play through a 2.1 onkyo/focal system that sounds great.

The lighted, in-ground, salt water pool opens in mid April and is also open to guests 24/7.

We're 16 miles from downtown Atlanta where there's a bunch of touristy things to do. We're about 20 minutes from busiest airport in the world... Hartsfield Jackson.

www.oasisarcadeairbnb.com & #oasisarcadeairbnb is our main online presence. If you desire to play even more pinball games, https://portalpinball.com/ and http://www.myparentsbasementcbcb.com are both fairly close by. Between the 3 places, there's close to 60 different pinball games to be played!

Thanks. We've added a few more games. Here's a video showing the arcade as of march 2019. It is ever changing though. I am always trying to upgrade it in some way or another.

Just seeing this thread for the first time, very cool! The place in Boulder is/was mine but it’s no longer a thing so I could you should remove it.

I’d say about a third of the bookings were specifically made because of the arcade. It was a huge draw. Highly recommend offering that if it’s easy to do. On the whole, people didn’t spend a ton of time playing the games, and some never got around to it at all, even though it was the main reason they booked with us.

Last month our airbnb/arcade was mentioned in Atlanta magazine's "best of" edition - dec 2019. We offer overnight stays for up to 4 people that includes 24/7 access to the arcade and swimming pool OR you can come play for a 2.5 hour block, any day of the week... either visit must be booked on Airbnb in advance.

    We're under "work & play" https://www.atlantamagazine.com/best-of-atlanta/

We have been doing the overnight airbnb for 3 years and currently have almost 400 five star reviews.

We recently started offering the airbnb "arcade experience". So far about 30 groups have come and all left 5 star reviews.

I just opened a rental property in Hocking hills Ohio. It's a four bedroom four and a half bathroom lodge with an arcade room. I've got pinball machine, a virtual pinball machine, a multi-cade, and APB (police driving game from the 80s). I'll probably rotate the pinball machine over the years, it currently has theater of magic, I'll probably put in revenge from Mars next!

I did last month and it was fantastic. Don greeted us personally. Very nice guy. The tiny house had everything we needed. Rolled out a couple things & my family of 4 slept very well....after we were done playing games all night. Next morning the kids wanted to jump up & play more before we hit the road. I highly recommend stopping here if it's on your way!

A lot of the links weren’t working anymore. One came up and showed what I hoped, that the machine is set to free play.
For the others, if I can find them, is it safe to assume they would be on free play, if they are trying to use the pin as a feature of staying there?

2-3 machines, try to change them up now and then. We're on the way to Yellowstone depending on where you're coming from.

Our 27 pinball and 21 arcade games are on freeplay. The 3 claw games are pay to play because it costs money to fill them with prizes. Originally, I put a single claw game on freeplay and asked people to only take 1 prize. Of course, kids were walking out with arm loads of prizes so I had to stop that. A few bad apples...

I own and operate four AirBNBs myself and have several higher end games. We generally do extended stays with a 30 day minimum as I'd rather rent ALL the days at a lower price. But this seems enticing. I guess my biggest concern would be that someone could damage my machines. Has anyone who has been renting spaces with their games in them had any problems? What kind of nightly rate might someone pay for the privilege? I'm in Charlotte, NC and we stay about 90% occupied. But I might be willing to take on more, and shorter stays if it makes sense. Thoughts from anyone who has done or is doing this?

Oh what a great topic! I will definitely check back here. I don't know if these guys have an airbnb listing, but they are super fun pinheads. If you're headed to Australia you should check it out: https://www.empiretownsville.com.au/pinball-holiday-house

If any pinsiders want to rent a 4 bed, 2.5 bath house at Lake of the Woods, VA (has two king and two bunk beds) with our four pinball machines, foosball table, multicade, bar, giant TVs, etc. Let me know. We're not listed yet on vrbo.com or airbnb.com because we love using the place so much. But we'd rent to friends and pinsiders with good feedback

This listing in OBX will have 2-3 pins and several arcades. The games change from time to time. Planned freeplay coinop for 2024 is: AIQ, SW, JP. Tokyo drift linked racers, Ivan Stewart Offroad 3 player, 60-in-1 multicade, Bowl-o-rama, CD-bubbler jukebox.

I totally didn't know this was a thread. I'm in Capital Region (Eastern) NY and I've been doing one for about a year and a half now - www.kickbackislit.com or https://airbnb.com/h/kickbackarcade - 12 games, 1 arcade 1up, all set on free play.

I see someone already shared my listing in Rockford Il. I have a well maintained TSPP in there. 2 bed 1 bath. If anyone's traveling through. DM me for Direct book and discount. But here is the link so you can see the Calendar. Im loving this thread.
