I had a similar issue when I moved my game. I leveled it and it helped a bit. My issue was more about pitch. Once I tweaked that for a bit it seemed to help the most. Now it rarely ever happens. I still occasionally get the sdtm bell shot that is moving so fast I don't have time to nudge.

I have not had this issue, yet. Have you contacted stern?
