Quoted from Naturalprogress:I can't wait until people realize battery relocation is completely unnecessary now with the sale of Lithium Ion Batteries. They are not filled with acid, but a gas so when they die, no damage done. To think you could have saved so much trouble and effort by just buying a different kind of AA battery. First thing i do when I get a new pin is remove the battery re-locator because it's outdated tech.
Except when you sell a game to a newbie/homeowner etc, they just grab whatever aa batteries they have laying around. Eventually leading to alkaline damage again. Why would you ever leave a battery holder on the board? I personally would like to save as many factory original boards as possible.
