Quoted from Quadrat:Hate to see that. Hope they hook you up quick.
My distributor told me that the shipping company will send it back to the factory to be repaired.
So I'm thinking a couple months maybe; as I figure it could take a couple weeks to get the machine back to Chicago, maybe longer...paper work to fill out, etc, before it gets on a truck.
If they repair it, not sure how long that will take.
Hopefully I don't have to wait until all of the LE orders are filled, first. So much for getting S/N 34.

Quoted from pintechev:You’re welcome to come down to San Jose and play here if you want for AFM fix!
Marc
Thanks.

Quoted from flipnout1:Sorry it happened to Bob but its on its way to be taken care of.
Thanks Larry for the info.
I received an email from Doug Skor. He said that they'd try to turn it around as quickly as possible, once it gets back to CGC.
As of noon today, the game is still at XPO in Hayward.

I just heard from Larry at Flippin out pinball that my afmr has been received back at the factory.
They are doing an assessment now to see what the repairs will take, so it looks like I'm on my way to getting serial number 34 back again in the not-too-distant future.

I heard from my distributor Larry at flipnout pinball and my machine has been repaired.
I was told that it was a simple repair (it was only there three days) and that it should be shipping soon.
Hopefully I can get it by the end of next week or the first part of the week after. I will certainly be glad to get my machine and this ordeal over with.

I finally got my game, S/N 34...the topper box as broken, but the game was OK.
The truckers wouldn't let me see the topper, so I didn't get to actually inspect it. It just went back with the truck and I kept the game.
It's a beautiful game, glad this one wasn't damaged. Hopefully I'll get my topper soon, looking forward to the whole package.

Quoted from LTG:Age is hard on everything, not just the new stuff.
Exactly, even me...When my AFMr is 20 I'll probably be dead.
So, I'll let my heirs figure it out should they even consider keeping the game I have then.
Still plenty of time left (I hope) to convince my wife that a trip to Minnesota to say hi is a good idea.
Robert
Quoted from paynemic:Speaking of toppers, is the Martian super loud on all of these toppers?
It's pretty loud...the dog comes in the room and barks at it.
Robert
Quoted from turbo20lbs:Could someone please measure the height of just the topper?
The topper height is 9" from the top of the BB and the Martian jumps up, maybe 0.75" from the 9 inch dimension.
