thought I'd never own afm until a nice one was at the midwest gaming classic 2 years ago. The led's and saucer upgrade , plus many games on it convinced me otherwise. Went from a game I just didn't get to one I had to have. Haven't really logged any real time on mm, afraid the same thing might happen.

Mostly the people who prefer AFM simply cant or wont pay the difference for a MM. Not really a valid reason to prefer one over the other IMHO.

Quoted from goatdan:

I don't know what you're disagreeing with here, because I wasn't talking about preferences, but instead how the toys actually affect things...

The saucer in no way actually interacts with the ball, just like the martians in no way actually interact with the ball. In both cases, you're hitting stand up targets that do the interacting. I'm not arguing if the modes are done better or not, but the actual interaction of these toys is absolutely nothing. Note that I didn't name the castle as one of the cool toys on MM, because just like all of AFM, you do absolutely nothing with it other than wait for it to stop pulsing the towers after you defeat someone.

I see what your saying & I guess i didnt read it all before posting. I guess in the case of AFM I feel less is more.

I finished adding chrome rails, hinges, lock down bar, and legs to my MM yesterday. What a great improvement to the looks of the pin. Battled for the Kingdom earlier tonight.

Best. Pin. Ever.

You'd think that no "tweaking" would be needed on a stupid lock down bar!

Tweaking 101 seems like a mandatory course in Pin ownership.
