I'm trading my GnR plus cash for one of these pins. I love them all, but I've never owned them or been able to play them extensively, but I have spent a few hours with each.

Which one would you get?

Tough call I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. AFM and MB do have colorDMD options..and I'm a junkie now for color

"Get your hands off of me,,,, All four of them"

All are good. I really enjoy my AFM.

I have AFM and MB and my friend up the street has AFM and SM. The AFMs have been around the longest and we still play that game more than anything else. It appears simple, but it never gets old for me... or apparently for most of the people who come over to play. There's great pride in who currently holds the Ruler of the Universe title.

1) MB
2) AFM (although almost on par with MB)
3) SM

#15 10 years ago

I'm with T_D_A
SM
MB
AFM

We have all 3

The Missus would say
MB
SM
WTF - AFM really?!?

AFM is the best machine of those 3. MB is fun with a great theme, but it is so easy, it gets boring in a home setting fairly quick. AFM has a deep rule set that keeps you coming back for more. I never understood the hype with SM, that would be my 3rd.

AFM with SM a close 2nd

Open up the outlanes and turn off the easy EB's. Then let me know how easy it is.

All are great. Fun VS value , SM is the best value. You can buy NIB LEs for less than the others.
10 years from now, they will likely be worth more as the average age of buyers changes.

I'm restoring a AFM which I probably paid a premium for with no regrets. MB is just not that exciting to play IMO. SM ....well its OK. so with that said AFM

+ 1 but switch AFM and SM

Can still get to Bash with outlanes open n EB's turned off....can even make it to MOR if you stack the monster modes with a Multiball right. Try opening up the outlanes & turning off the EB's and making it to RTU. Thats the much harder challenge.

Either way you cant loose. Cant separate them, they are all fantastic tittles!!!!!
Voted AFM in the poll, but could have gone either way. Good luck with your choice.

This is no contest. AFM is one of the greatest pins ever and MB and SM seriously suck sweaty balls off a dead donkey.

#28 10 years ago

AFM for humor. MB for looks. SM for game play.

All three are pretty close. SM is what I voted for but I would be proud to have any of those three in my collection.
