Tore this sucker down to the PF and gave it a compete workup. Metalized the UFOs and went to all green domes, green flipper bats, green flipper buttons, all new plastics and plastic protectors installed. Full LEDs - I had done this 95% of the way, but was able to get to the pop bumpers and hard to reach lights at the top of the PF. Full Cliffy protector kit installed, too. No hole wear, but don't want to risk any in the future....

Man, this thing plays fast now.

I might look into switching the topper light over to green. I really like the look of more green on this machine.

Nice! I like the green flashers in the mini-saucers, matches the mother ship and just kind of seems right. I also like the metallized saucers. I'd like to do both those mods to my AFM. Great job! Topper looks cool too, and I agree that green might look awesome lighting it.

I used Rustoleum Bright Finish Metallic paint in a rattle can for the saucers. Used some 600 grit sandpaper on them before painting, and rinsed them with alcohol to get the dust out of the crevices. The paint is very, very thin. I had to apply very light coats, holding the can at pretty good distance, about 5 minutes apart.
