I bought an AFM-R SE a little over a month ago. Quarantine made me do it.
This is my first machine so I apologize if I do not use the exact correct terms.
Firstly, I want to say this is not like a complainer type post. Everything works 100% and I play it almost every day. But I do a few questions about the fitment of my machine.
My playfield does not sit flush inside the cabinet. It's just kind of annoying to level the game because I have to remove the glass, re-install the lock bar, then place a level on the playfield. Otherwise the ball has a tendency to head towards the left out lane.
The center UFO drop target bank rubs on the right side bracket underneath the playfield. It sits slightly crooked, and when the drop target retracts occasionally it will sit just barely above the playfield. Which can cause the ball to hang up here if I make a bad or weak shot; but a tiny nudge to the cabinet and it'll return.
I come from a mechanical engineering background and work predominantly with machined parts. I know Pinball is NOT machined parts. But my brain can't help to noodle on these two things.
So, my question is, am I being overly critical??
Is this just part of buying a brand new Pinball, or are there some adjustments I should do?
Thanks in advance for any input.
