Looking to buy my first pin! Someone emailed me letting me know they have a AFM for sale. Not sure what to look for? and if this is a reasonable price for it? $6950. Just completely shopped, new cliffy SOL protector and SOL weldment. Link to more pics

Not a bad price if in good shape. Look for Stroke of Luck scoop wear and around the pop up targets under the ship(infront and behind)...there is a hole you shoot the ball into beyond the targets. Check the inserts too...GL

There is one fully restored on Mr.Pinball today for 7900.

7k seems high unless it is also already super nice.

I would go for the one on Mr. Pinball since this is your first pin. Maybe offer 7200 for the Mr. Pinball and see what Tony says.

Need a lot more detail about condition before we can even begin to help you... hopefully you can get detailed pics first or go see it in person.

Tony would say no... It is actually on hold for someone until after Christmas. $7900 firm if it becomes available again... but thanks for the publicity!

Stroke of Luck and Extra Ball inserts are chipped....be hard for me to pay that kind of cash knowing they are there. Not much detail in these pics...would ask for more unless you can personally take a look

That helps... $5000 would be great! Realistically I would say $5500 would be a decent price to get it at and I would top out at $6000 but only if you really, really wanted it especially if its local. $6950 is definitely way TOO high! Just too many nice AFM's changing hands at great prices these days. I would spend a little more and go for something nicer.

OR wait for the remake... IF it ever happens... many years from now...

Teekee is spot on and I don't agree with him very often.

6k TOPS

I suggest just trying to find a VERY nice condition game for your first one. I assume you want to play so the extra cash is worth the no hassle for your first.

Don't worry, you will need to teither learn how to fix or pay someone in the future. Pins break> that is just how it is.

If you are not a wierdo and want to check out the full spectrum of nice to crap so you can see the difference then shoot me a PM and you can come play at my place sometime.

I see this response often... what it really means is:

"Teekee is usually right on with pretty much everything, I just hate to admit it"

Nah, it really means that normally TeeKee is way in left field but every once in a while he comes back to reality and I am OK admitting when he is right. Since it does not happen very often...
